Every morning our class starts off the day with our morning Hawk Pride pledge. "Be respectful, responsible, and real safe..." I am a lucky 4th-grade teacher to have such a wonderful group of students who are always very helpful and respectful. They are a great mix of personalities which make our days fun! My students are learning English and Spanish as well as the regular curriculum. Most of my students are on the free lunch program and are in families that are barely making ends meet. In our dual language program, we strive to show the equality and respect for both languages to our students. We want them to know that it is a privilege to be bilingual and that we believe each language is important and meaningful.
