    Funded Jan 18, 2014

Thank you so much for all your generous donation to really ignite so much fun and fitness during playtime for all my students. Going out to recess and physical education have been the best part of their school day! My students have happily use the materials you have donated to this project. While they're having so much fun and also exercising, they're also very thankful to know that there are strangers who have helped to make them feel so important. • Take A Bite Out Of Bullying: One Color Picture At A Time II

    Funded Nov 17, 2012

Thank you so much for the colored toner, digital camera, and books to educate my class to prevent bullying in class and at school. Your generous contributions have tremendously impacted my students' education and has helped me in motivating my students in many positive ways. The toner has enabled me to print pictures, their poems, and research projects. The digital camera has allowed me to take snapshots of their class projects and also video tape their winter performances. The materials such as books are used to inform students about anti-bullying have helped my students see and understand why it's wrong to treat others with disrespect and to tease others.

All the materials donated by all of you have created such a lasting and positive impact on my students. Not only did we appreciate the materials donated to help me make learning enjoyable for my students, my students also learned that there are people out there who care about them. Your kindness, as a stranger, willing to support us, has helped my students understand why it's important to help others in need. Thank you!!!”

  • Bringing More Print to Life, Please!

    Funded Sep 6, 2012

Your generous donation to the purchase of the black toner for our printer has made such a long lasting impact for my students and I. Every time we printed documents out of the printer, my students always remember the kind and thoughtful people who have helped to enrich the lives of their learning. Not only did the impact of enriching student learning, it also reminded my students how important it is to be kind and grateful. Even though my students are second graders, they have felt what kindness really meant to them. They know and experience kindness and give back through the generosity of Donor's Choose campaign.

From the bottom of our hearts, we sincerely appreciate your contribution. This will forever impact the lives of my students in their academic endeavor as well as to inspire them to be future writers, poets, and illustrators. A working printer has been useful to our students and our room environment in many folds.”

  • Bringing Print to Life

    Funded Dec 31, 2011

The new color printer has brought so much positive attention to our school and our students. Having been without any printers at all in the classroom for ever has made me realized what a treasure it would have been if we had a printer. The students and I have used our printer for many exciting and educational purposes. Since our recent theme in language arts is creativity and imagination, our color printer has helped make us very creative in deed.

My students have become poets, artists, and writers. They're budding writers of the 21st Century with the support of this effective and powerful machine, the color printer. As a teacher, I am now able to make posters in color to support my English learners to increase language skills. My students also can type their poems and print them out right away. I also print out their beautiful portraits all within a few hours. They're so amazed by the speed and the result of their portraits. The printer has certainly motivated my students to complete their task on time so that I can print out their products. Everyone is so eager to complete their writing project with the help of "the color print that could". We're currently working on publishing a collection poems written by the students. Our printer has been an asset!

Thank you so much for your support in believing in literacy and in my students' education!!!”

  • 21st Century Skills for 21st Century Kids

    Funded Dec 23, 2011

Thank you so much for the support of everyone so that my students are able to benefit and be enriched by this wonderful, motivational, and learning tool, the beautiful, functioning laptop. With this laptop, I am now able to access the world outside traditional teaching. By accessing Internet via wireless connection, my students are giving the opportunity to learn from Brain-pop. The animated lessons in Brain-pop is a powerful, supportive teaching tool for teachers. My students especially love to be challenged by hard quizzes. Using Brain-pop is one of the teaching tools that this laptop has supported me in providing another approach of scaffolding to my students' learning. Students also use the laptop to practice math skills via St-math and type short stories for publishing.

My students are very careful and gentle with the new laptop. They're happy and grateful that there are so many kind people who care so much about their education. Having access to the internet world, my students now have a chance to compete in this technological world and will be productive citizens of the 21sr Century.

We're deeply appreciated by your act of kindness!

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ramillano

  • Reading Feeds the Soul

    Funded Jan 14, 2012

The items we have received, the two lounger bags, cushion seats, and colorful rug have truly brightened up our classroom library and importantly, it has instilled in my students the reason to read. My second graders have enjoyed their independent reading time more than ever. I couldn't believe the new additions have created such an enormous impact in getting my students to read attentively and extensively. I also marveled on how they share their space without quarreling over the lounger bags.

Your generous support in making our classroom library an inviting and comfortable place to read and enjoy reading is deeply appreciated by my students, their parents, and myself. We can't thank you enough for your donation to help build a strong literacy foundation for all my students and for many students to come.

We have treasured and treated our new gifts with care and love. Thank you again! ”
