  • Playground Balls to Increase Sportsmanship Skills and Good Health.

    Funded Nov 28, 2018

Thank you for bringing our project to life for our students! The colorful balls and various sizes balls have brought so much excited to both PE and recess as well as indoor recess to at least two-three classes! Those small bouncy blue balls have been our class' favorite to play with during rainy days. Because most of my students are first graders, they also use the handballs to practice basketball skills such as dribbling and shooting into the hoop. They have never been eager to go out to do physical activities before. Because of the selections and availability of the balls, all students have not been left out. There's always enough balls to go around. Students can first practice specific skills with a partner and then, move on to form smaller groups, before we get any team games.

Thank you for your generosity in contributing to your neighborhood school, and on behalf of my students, thank you for making playground games accessible and alive again! Your kindness has been spread out around our school and also to the families of my students. Thank you!!!”

  • Students' Colorful Stories Need Toner

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

Thank you for your generosity of fulfilling this project in a timely matter! The impact of bringing colorful stories to life has become a very powerful and effective teaching and learning tool. Not only did my students have the opportunity to print their stories to live in colors, I also have the privilege of printing out their class activity pictures and self-portraits to both display in class and sent home. In addition, with all of the four toners fully loaded, I am able to create lesson templates in visual aids for my students, especially for my EL learners. Because my students get to see their hard work printed into products, they are always eager to create more stories so I can display them for all to see and admire.

Recently, we also used the color toners to print out images of items that students wanted to present in their holiday songs to the community. We were able to constantly revise and update old songs and added visuals to enhance our new updated songs. The power of a printer with fully loaded toner has worked in numerous amazing ways to inspire and enrich all my students. At the end, everyone is a winner! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to shine for my students.”

  • Becoming Financial Literate with a Good Cause!

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thank you so much for the iPad and ink cartilage for our colored printer! The students have enjoyed taking pictures of their community, class projects, and our recent school field trip, and then being able to print those pictures by using our colored printer. Everything is within a click of a button all because we have generous donors like you! With the iPad, we also have been able access to educational youtube videos featuring animals and their habitats. Students also were able to take turns using the iPad to research information about plants and animals. In small groups, they also have enjoyed using this up-to-date technology to videotape and record each other during their reader's theater.

Both the iPad and colored ink for the printer have just complemented each other beautifully to enhance and created so much energy and excitement for student learning in my classroom and beyond. Our room is buzzing with creativity and with that engagement, my students are also applying their foundational skills to read and find information through active reading with your gifts.

Your gifts have such meaningful and longing impact on their learning journey! Thank you from all of us!”

  • Bringing Art to Life!

    Funded Aug 22, 2016

Thank you so much for allowing me to bring the excitement of creating arts and to bring them to life for my students in the classroom. The model magic class was indeed one of the most exciting hands-on art experience my students have ever had for a long time. They got to mix the different colors and saw the transformation of colors changing right in front of them. It's truly like magic for most of my younger students. It's such a joy to hear my students interacted with each other while conversing about what, how, and why they were creating their 3-dimensional sculptures. Then, they got to showcase their work of art to the school and their family. With the post-it and pens, students used them to jot down notes and label their work of arts for many days to come.

Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share with my students your generosity and in your support of education. On be half of my students, we are thankful for your gifts!”

  • Pencil Sharpeners for Sharp 3rd Graders, Please!

    Funded Apr 4, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donations to support my students in LA. Your contributions to the project of purchasing the pencil sharpeners, pencils, and pencil grips have not only impacted the learning that happens in the classroom, it also impacted the emotional aspect of my students. They couldn't believe that strangers can be kind and supportive to public education. Your support has demonstrated more than helping others with financial needs, it also has ignited the compassion aspect of being human and the moral theme of generosity, a lesson that my students can actually appreciate and be thankful for as they expressed eloquently in their thank you letters to our donors, you guys!

Thanks again for your active support in my students' education. More time is spent on writing than just sharpening pencils. The pencil grips also work magic for them. They said they are so comfortable and that they can write without complain. They're truly prepared for 4th grade in August!”

  • Improving Basic Skills with Technology

    Funded Feb 24, 2015

Thank you so much for putting education on your top priority! The iPad air and the protective case that I have received a month ago have enable me to be a better technological equipped teacher in many way. First the iPad enables me to navigate on-line DIBELS website without any problem. The tool was hi-tech with all the capability to access online. I learned how to administer assessments with many practices with peers at the training. The next day, I was already putting my practice into good use. The iPad allows me to efficiently look up student data without delay. I could view students' results within minutes.

I also get use the iPad to take attendance via MISIS. It was easily accessible without delay, again due to its powerful capability. I also have used the iPad to record student presentations as well as science projects they have done over the course of three weeks. Both my students and I are very thankful for this wonderful tool. Thank you for supporting me and my students.”

  • Flourish Creativity with Colored Toner

    Funded Sep 15, 2014

Your generous contribution of the toner in three colors has allowed me to provide my students and my school community the opportunity to research information from the Internet and also print out important document to support their informational writing project. Because of the three color toner, my students have began to print out stories and clip arts. My staff also get to use the printer to print out colorful portraits and favorite book covers to inspire our students of 500 plus to read. In our class, my students and I can't wait to show our parents their colorful hard copies of stories and research projects they have created and printed out to showcase to families during parent conferences in the next few weeks.

Your donation has made a lasting impact on making creativity in print possible. Thank you for helping making a difference in promoting literacy for my students and the students of my school of today and tomorrow.”

  • More Engaging Activities for Social Studies

    Funded Sep 15, 2014

Your generous donation has helped make teaching and learning social studies more exciting to my second graders. The requested materials: black toner cartridge for our printer and government photo book series to enrich our social studies curriculum, collectively, have been great supplemental teaching tools to the teaching of social studies. My students have learned so much more through exploring and reading the books together, then in partners.

Thank you for providing the high interest books of the government photo book series to learn more about the past and present. The black toner cartilage enables my students to print out reports about figures they thought are heroic and how these heroes can make impact on their individual learning. Because of the toner, my students can share their learning in so many settings. Thank you!”

  • Let's Help My Students Fire Up with Play-Doh

    Funded Aug 19, 2014

My students were beyond thrilled and also very thankful for your generous donation of the play dough and a classroom job management chart. The materials have allowed me to extend engaging lessons and increase student achievement via highly motivating fun activity known as creating with play dough. The classroom job management chart enables my students to run their classroom independently. They love to have jobs in the classroom and are proud to keep up with their daily task without reminders.

The supplies of the play dough have supported me in providing a creative outlet for all my students in math, science, and language arts. I have been using them as a incentive for indoor recess use. Thanks again for your kind consideration in making a long lasting happy impact in my students' learning. Your help also made me a super hero in their eyes too!.”
