  • Help Us Chart Our Learning!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Your generous donation of the Post-it chart paper and markers has motivated and engaged my students to map out their thought process in a way that is visually appealing and engaging. Once students see their thought process on ink, they are able to compare the before, during, and after learning journey with guidance.

The supplies also provide students opportunity to showcase their thought process during both lessons in the classroom, and particularly at home when students bring their posters to share with their family. The practice of teaching their parents at home has allowed them not only to retain what they've learned, but to also develop genuine understanding of concepts in various subjects.

Thank you for letting my student practice the invaluable skill of learning to think and be creative.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ramillano

  • Better Technology for Better Learning

    Funded Apr 22, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous of the large screen! The big screen has arrived just in time for returning to in-person learning and online learning. I was able to use this screen quickly once we returned to school. This larger screen has provided me with the option of multitasking and working on content off of one screen while simultaneously being able to see all of my students on another screen during remotely learning.

For in-person learning, the large screen also enables to display powerpoint presentations and interactive Nearpod games so that all my students can view. The screen's high quality feature has really captivated my students' attention and thus engage them in learning.

Your generous donation to the screen has brought so much excitement to the class. My students can now see clearly who's in the lead in their Nearpod time to climb interactive games. I also use the screen to project digital presentations and show educational videos. Thank you for much for believing in the power of better technology equals better learning for all my students.”

    Funded Sep 30, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to brighten my second graders' smiles! My students and I are thankful of all the contributions of many generous people that have made my project to enrich my students' life come true.

With the playing cards, my second graders will not use the cards to bond with their family members over the Thanksgiving break and weekends, they also use them to improve their number fluency. We hope to find a way to play Uno virtually as well.

Your gifts of game cards have really motivated my students to keep trying hard even though learning via Zoom is difficult at times. Thank you for supporting me in making a difference in my students' life, importantly, in supporting me in building a strong financial literacy with card games.”

  • Help Revive Our Classroom Printer With Color Toner!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for the colored toner! With this funded project, I was able to make many certificates in colors to motivate my students to continue to work hard remotely at home for last spring. During this distance learning time, your generous donation, I also printed stories of my second graders and sent to them via school mail. In addition, I will also able to print practice sheets for students to work on their math and writing as we continue to provide remote learning from home .

I could tell that all my students were so happy and inspired with all the awards that they have received and for seeing their names in print and in color. I would imagine the many certificates being opened from the clasp envelopes quickly and with their published stories are being hung on the wall or posted on their refrigerator doors being displayed at their homes.

It was so satisfaction to see their smiles when they got their awards and stories printed in color, which will last a lifetime even in a digital age. I can't wait to send you some of their thoughtful and much appreciated letters of thanks.”

  • With Demands in Integrated Technology, Teachers Need Tech!

    Funded Dec 17, 2019

Both relatives, friends and kind and thoughtful strangers have collectively donated to my class requested laptop. We are so grateful for receiving this essential and necessary piece of technology for my class today!

This laptop has been the most significant tool that helps run my class with our daily routines: from taking attendance in the morning, showing morning Leader in Me videos during breakfast in the classroom to accessing DIBELS assessments during small group rotations, administering online with student, one-on-one, inputting data of weekly test scores, viewing Classdojo for sending out messages or posting pictures on class story, and finally to staff meeting in the afternoon for accessing websites or jotting down notes.

What my students most excited about is not only the fact that they can now watch videos with better pictures and sound quality, the fact that people can be kind to each other. This donated laptop serves its important purpose, but my students learned a lesson about collective kindness.”

  • Find a Quiet Spot with a Comfy Seat and Read!

    Funded Nov 22, 2019

The flexible comfy chairs and cushions were well received by my second graders two months ago! I thought that with the limited comfy chairs that my students will fight over them, but because I have set rules for sharing those comfy portable chairs, they are so respectful and responsible for taking turns. Most importantly, my students understand how donators like you have donated these special seats for the reading library because reading is fundamental. They felt so grateful and will no doubt be inspired and encouraged to visit the library area during their independent reading time and also during recess and after school. All my students are welcome to use the classroom library and take turns to use the comfy seats.

Thank you for helping me inspire my students to read and read beyond school hours. Your generous support in helping me providing a quiet, comfortable place for my students with these soft and flexible seats has enhanced and hi-lighted our little classroom library. • Engage in Science Learning Beyond School

    Funded Nov 2, 2019

Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation of the science journals to all my students! Your donation has made an impact in many ways. The science journals' features of science content that is aligned specifically to meet the need of my English learners and the pictures and illustrations provide great visuals for all my students. From our hands-on foss kit of lessons and then I was able to provide my students with a more closed reading of informational to confirm their experiments and also provide more detailed information on the causes and effects about nature and its wonders.

The science journals serve not only as a compliment of my classroom science lessons, but students will get to share more science in reading and writing at home with their families. Thank you for helping me to reinforce an extended opportunity of learning to my students beyond school.”

    With gratitude,

  • Please Help Me Extend And Engage Science Learning Beyond School!

    Funded Sep 26, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations that have made the engagement of learning science beyond school a meaningful reality! Both my students and their families are overjoyed to see the excitement and learning that have extended from class to home. The hands-on science experiments in Foss, along with the science journal that high-lighted close-reading texts and writing are essential ingredients in building critical thinking skills and making the meaning better and clearer to my students. My students are making connections from hands-on explorations to reading informational texts and sharing and writing about the experiments and explorations with new learning added from the science journals. Thank you for your contribution to this rich learning!

More importantly, the visual representations in the science journals also help my English learners. The students have been using science journals as a reinforcement of key concepts. The writing parts in the science journal allow the students to discuss, reflect, and write.”
