  • Pre-K Math and Literacy

    Funded May 8, 2024

You all have provided my students with the tools to grow academically and socially. I appreciate your kindness and generosity. The students were so excited when they seen all the boxes of new manipulatives, and they couldn't wait to open them up with me

These items will help the students understand number sense, financial literacy and oral communication. Pre-k is the foundation to a child's education and exposing them to the financial literacy at an early age will help them develop a clear understanding.”

  • Flexible Seating for Flexible Students

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

Since introducing and implementing the flexible seating in my classroom I have noticed a drastic reduction in disruptions caused by anxiety and hyperactivity. Students have utilized all of the seating options and have found the best solution to help them stay more focused during lessons and independent work time. Student are more engaged in lesson and complete their assignments while being able to stay focused. The movement students are able to do while working allows them to use release energy in a way that does not impact their learning or the learning of others. I have received many complements on how well my student work while using the new flexible seating options.

Thank you for your generous donations for my classroom,”

  • Pre-K Learners at Work

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Thank you for donations for our classroom sensory items. The students use the items in the room on a regular basis for calming down and sensory breaks. There are students in my class that gets overwhelmed or upset very quickly. This room allows them a break to gather their thoughts and emotions before returning back to class. Sensory breaks allow students to regain focus from the ever-busy day of classroom work and activities. Students are also able to bring some of the sensory toys out into class to help stay focus while doing school work.

The students were overwhelmed with joy to have a space for themselves. Allows them to be free from judgement or embarrassment. The students I work with need more breaks to achieve a more independent life. Again, thank you for all your support and love for these students.”

  • Learning Financial Literacy Through Play

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

Thank you for supporting my students. They are amazing little learners who are full of life. They have already developed a love of learning. My students are enjoying using some of our new resources already.

They have been practicing identifying and writing numbers. It is so exciting to hear them talking about the numbers as they play(work). These are important skills they need to develop for a life of learning. They have also enjoyed counting and identifying numbers with the see inside tubes.

I am looking forward to adding the ice cream scoop activity to my summer study. I like to incorporate a variety of activities to practice counting, number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, and fine motor skills into our centers daily to add lots of opportunities for learning.

All of these resources will make learning fun and engaging for my little learners. Thank you for working to bring these items to our classroom.”

  • Fun Play in Pre-K

    Funded Apr 26, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us expand manipulatives and our dress up clothes section in the classroom. It has greatly helped with social play and the new outfits instantly became new favorites in the room. Some students love the outfits so much they want to wear the all day!

Having options for social play is necessary in an classroom because my students need opportunities to work on engaging in activities with peers and also interacting with peers. We are so thankful for all of your support, and for partnering with our class.”

  • Customizable Cubbies for Pre-K

    Funded Apr 29, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation to provide our students with the experience of cubbies. It has been a game changer for every student to have a guaranteed space for their learning items.

The students and I are loving the new "cubbies" in our classroom. It has allowed all of my students to have their own letter box to keep their supplies separate and allow to keep track of their own materials. My students have also enjoyed picking which color they want. One of my students in particular loves the color orange. Everything he owns is orange. When I showed him his new "cubbie" he was ecstatic and wanted to put his new name label on it right away.”

  • Cap and Gowns for Pre-K Gradation

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

I cannot thank you enough for all your generous donations and helping me fund this project. All my students looked so adorable in their caps and gowns. The students and families alike were so proud of the accomplishment of completing this school year. It really helped make our Pre-K ceremony more special. You can see the excitement in the students' faces as they were wearing their caps and gowns, and both parents and students were beyond thrilled when they received their own cap and gowns. I think it made them feel very important and respected. I know the parents really enjoyed seeing all of them so dressed up and so happy. Thanks again for providing the supplies to make the students graduation a memorable one.”

My students need IPad tablets so that they can explore a world that is outside of themselves. Autism will frequently cause children to pull into themselves, and technology is one avenue into that inner world that will pull them into an outer expression. Our classroom is not wired for internet, so these IPads will allow us to access applications and technology even though we can't use the wireless internet that other students in the school enjoy. I am asking for five IPad minis that could contain applications these students will enjoy and learn with. Being able to have this kind of technology in my classroom would create endless opportunities for my students to excel. My project will make a difference because it will take them beyond the walls of our classroom and allow them to explore things they usually wouldn't have a chance, due to their disability. The iPads would allow students to use symbols, photographs, visual scenes, videos, communicate words, phrases, or short sentences. Students could engage in conversations with both peers and teachers. For many students, an augmentative communication device may also help open the door to better verbal expression skills as well.
