  • Pollo Para Personas

    Funded May 13, 2019

Your donation has been greatly appreciated. We quickly realized, after opening our food pantry, that canned meat was one of the items that families really appreciated.

It is not a food that is so often donated in food drives. You all have allowed us to provide families with a shelf stable protein that they can use to provide nourishment.

These families are so grateful that people like you have reached out to help them in their times of need.

Thank you for allowing our students to focus more on their education by not having to worry as much about having their families fed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Plourde

  • Food Pantry Shelves

    Funded Apr 9, 2019

Your generosity is so humbling. These shelves have been so instrumental in storing food.

This has created a safe place, less open to the elements that exist in any school setting, to store food. This is especially true for the food that is in boxes vs. cans. We are able to close the doors and keep the food safe.

I apologize for not having the correct pictures, I was confused with the project I was uploading pictures of, but rest assured that your donation is a huge asset to our food pantry.

These cabinets will last a long time, and they aren't too heavy, which is helpful when we need to rearrange to fit more food.

Thank you so much for caring about our future.”

  • Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day

    Funded May 3, 2019

Creating this food pantry has been a very humbling experience. The assistance we have received from you all has allowed us to help more families than ever intended.

When we first opened the pantry, we realized that cereal and oatmeal were some of the first things to be used. With this project, we were able to provide breakfast to numerous families numerous times.

We have some families that come back on a monthly basis, because they need the help, and they know this is a reliable source of aid.

Thank you for helping it be so.”

  • Summer Storage

    Funded Jan 30, 2019

You help is greatly appreciated. This summer the classroom library was safely stored in totes, harbored from the elements. I was able to take these books out of their totes and return them to the shelves, appearing in great condition due to the way they were stored.

When my students first saw the totes, they thought I was crazy. However, when they realized how easy it was to store the over 600 books in the classroom library, they realized that it was a great blessing.

They are excited to have some of their favorite books still on the shelves, so they can recommend them to their siblings who have me as their teacher.

Thank you for helping our classroom library last for many years, instead of just a few.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Plourde

  • Shutdown Impacts Student Food Source

    Funded Jan 12, 2019

This food pantry has been life changing for our students. We were finally able to have our first mass distribution day this past Saturday. In just over 2 hours, our pantry was almost depleted.

The need is real and it is unfortunate that it has taken this long to realize, however, with your help and generosity, it has happened.

Thank you for helping these students in ways that show the community that helps to raise a child. These students are our future and without them, it is bleak. Thank you for showing them that there are people in the world who care about them in ways more than just test scores and grades.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Plourde

  • Food Pantry Beginnings

    Funded Jan 28, 2019

Your generosity is humbling. We have officially opened the Lobo Food Pantry as of yesterday. There is enough food to help at least 20 families.

Before we had a set location for the food pantry, the students were eying the food in my classroom. They regularly asked what it was for. When they found out we were creating a food pantry, they were beyond excited.

Yesterday the big announcement was made to administrators and teachers to begin using it to help students. In addition to helping students who are brave enough to ask for the food, we will do a robo call once a month to invite families to a distribution day. This allows families who need it, but students are too shy to ask for it, to partake of your kindness.

The next challenge to overcome is how to keep our pantry regularly stocked, but with so many generous people out there, ready to make a difference, I know we can make this pantry a staple in our school community.

    Thank you.”

    Mrs. Plourde

  • The More the Cameras, the More Memories

    Funded Oct 17, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The students have enjoyed feeling professional with better cameras in their possession.

They have already taken many pictures with these cameras and will take many more. These pictures will help document the life of the school for the yearbook and for the newspaper.

This has already been a great teaching experience with many aspects of photography and editing for yearbook and newspaper. This will lead to many more technology lessons in the aforementioned areas and beyond.

So thank you, from the depths of our hearts.”

  • Storage Supports Students

    Funded Oct 20, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The students have enjoyed feeling professional with more cameras to be able to use, versus their phones.

Our first adventure with the donation was to put SD cards in all the cameras we did have access to. This increased our cameras by 5. This meant that five more students were able to be out taking photos at a time.

My students are so excited to finally be able to work with real cameras regularly instead of occasionally.

So thank you, from the depths of our hearts.”

  • Picture Perfect Yearbook

    Funded Sep 6, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The students have enjoyed feeling professional with the backdrop and lighting that was donated with your love and funds.

Our first adventure with the donation was a fundraiser during homecoming week. We chose backgrounds to add to the green screen and encouraged the students and staff to come pay for a picture of them dressed in their spirit gear.

This has already been a great teaching experience with many aspects of photography and editing for yearbook and newspaper.

So thank you, from the depths of our hearts.”

  • Cricut Creativity!

    Funded Aug 10, 2018

Thank you so much for your contribution. The students are so excited to be able to use the Cricut accouterments to assist them in their learning activities.

The students are excited to see the words clearly on the board. They are also excited to use it in upcoming projects to make them more organized.

When students are exposed to creative uses of technology, they are able to think outside the box. This allows my students to grow exponentially. This is the type of education that allows students to realize that their is no ceiling to stop them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Plourde
