• Classroom Pantry

  A classroom pantry has been an amazing resource to have for our classroom. Students feel welcomed to come up to ask for snacks when they are in need of food. They are excited when the pantry is the reward after a job well done.

  With the classroom pantry available during lunch, as well as the laptops, students love to come to spend time here to relax from the stresses of the day and complete classwork and homework that they need to complete. My room is a welcoming place for students to come to and it's all because of amazing donors like you!”

• Chains Connections

  Funded Oct 8, 2018

  Having brand new books for students to use and annotate in was a very encouraging way to begin the novel Chains. Students loved using post-its to chart or mark what they noticed as they read the novel.

  When students cited a quote or pulled our a line of text, they were able to say the page number, and everyone would turn to that page and follow along. It was an amazing sight to see students excited about the text and to share their insights on how the main character, Isabel, was growing as a character in the novel, and how students themselves were growing as well.”

• Is It Hot in Here, or Is It Just Me?

• Source Book Refresh

  Funded Mar 1, 2019

  New binders are slowly starting to replace the weathered and worn binders students have had to deal with from constant use. Students act so esteemed when they see the new binder headed their way. They are encouraged to keep it neat and clean so that they can have a continued successful school year. The sheet protectors help keep important papers safe and secure for quick reference and constant use. What an amazing thing that a donation can do for a student!

  The laminating pouches have helped our classroom be more successful for the state test quickly approaching as we have been completing the task cards in preparation.

  Lastly, the post-its could not have come at a better time as we are beginning our unit on Chains and students need the post-its for annotations of the novel.
