  • 2023, The Year of FUN!

    Funded Feb 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our classroom. The kids were so excited to see what all was in the boxes! Their smiles and excitement were priceless. As soon as they saw the new bubble gun, we had to open it up and use it.

Already the new letters and numbers for our light table have become favorites. We have plans to use the sensory table at water day in a couple of weeks, to have some messy play with shaving cream.

Again, I am so thankful for you support. I have and will continue to believe that it takes a village, and I am so grateful you are part of my village.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Petrusick

  • We Love Toys!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

I wish that you could have seen my students faces when our packages came in. We were all blown away by your generosity! All the students were so excited to see all the new toys for our classroom. One of our favorite toys has to be the adjustable basketball goal. We use this all the time whether we are playing, working on our throwing and catching skills or even some students work on balancing as they shoot the ball. Another big hit, was the new baby doll and her accessories, we have a lot of fun taking care of the baby in our house center.

My students and I are so thankful for your support and we think of you every time we play with out new toys. I am truly blessed to know such generous and supportive people.”

  • Mrs. Heather Says RELAX!

    Funded Aug 2, 2018

Thank you so much for helping create a relaxation area in my classroom! My students have gotten so much use out of this space. We have incorporated it in our daily routine, and used it when students need a break. My students use the bean bag to get comfortable, and use the variety of sensory items to help calm their bodies. Our favorite thing is the sound proof divider, it helps give our area a defined space. We are so thankful that you helped make this space in our room, and we are putting it to good use. Again thank you for your support and encouragement!”

  • Work Then Play

    Funded Mar 31, 2018

Thank you so much for your support and generosity. The students were very excited when they saw we got a package in the mail, and watched carefully as I unpacked all the new things. The kids are enjoying the spin disc and it is used daily as a reward, sensory break and students request it often. Another favorite is the stringing cards. The students enjoy lacing the different animals all while working on their fine motor skills. One of my favorite is the bead sequencing activity, it allows the students to work on their visual processing skills along with fine motor.

We are so grateful that you helped support this project and provide useful resources to my classroom.”

  • Art for Little Hands

    Funded Sep 16, 2017

Thank you so, so mush for donating to my art for little hands project. We received the supplies and started using them that day. My students love art, and how they get to create something using a variety of different things. We have used the paint, to paint with trucks, paint our hands and have free paint. We have cut, glued and folded the construction paper to form different things from hats to turkeys. We are so thankful for your support and donation to our classroom! I know the little hands in my class, will be using those supplies to create beautiful art for the rest of the year.”

    Funded Jul 25, 2017

Thank you all so much for the generous donation you made to my students. When they saw the new motor equipment we had for our room their faces lit up with excitement. Everyday we have a motor station and use the equipment you helped purchase. The kids favorite games include walking the plank, scooting around on the scooter board and walking barefoot and feeling the many textures of the sensory stones. Thank you again for supporting my classroom and helping my students reach their potential. My students are so blessed to have your support and encouragement.”

This school year we are adding daily gross motor stations in the classroom. Each day we will use the equipment in a fun and exciting way like walking the plank by using the balance beam, scooter crawl on their stomachs to pick up treasures and hop along the various lines drawn on the floor with tape. By having equipment in the class readily available students will be able to work on balance, increasing strength and flexibility all while having fun. My project will significantly impact my students by enhancing the physical potential of each student, so they can achieve independence.
