Head Start is a program that services low-income children and their families throughout the county through health, education, nutrition, social, and many other services. The program emphasizes academic readiness for children from birth to age five, promoting educational support and parent involvement.
Students within our classroom speak a variety of languages from English to Arabic and especially Spanish. Our students come from rather diverse backgrounds, not only economically, but culturally as well. As an educator, we strive to give them differential academic guidance throughout the school year. In preparation for Kindergarten we teach our students basic academic skills, social skills and active listening in various ways.
