Future Graphic & Fashion Designers NEED your help!
Funded Jan 7, 2024I cannot thank you enough for donating to this project! This is the first time we are creating our own clothing/accessories, and it has been a huge success. When I showed them one of the digital designs on the laptop and printed it out, they were impressed. But then I showed them how to iron the design on (with the iron on paper you helped us purchase), and they went wild in the best possible way. They were so excited to do the project, it motivated them to complete their other assignments and add them to their digital portfolios.
You've given these students a chance to really see that they can do things they never thought possible. It has pushed even my most unmotivated students to work harder. Plus, art is a universal language, so it has really given a voice to my ENL students.
Follow @mrs.vpstuto for all the final products!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Stuto
Put the ART (Supplies) in STEAM!
Funded Dec 17, 2018I must start off by saying thank you, thank you, thank you! You have no idea how much your donation means to our school. We truly have enough supplies to get us through this year and next year. One project we are currently working on links math, and science to art. The first graders learned all about owls, where they live, what they look like, etc. and we took it a step further by creating our own. We used the oil pastels, water color paints, and paper to start this lesson. We cannot wait to show you the final product.
When the students walked in and saw the new art cart, filled with brand new supplies, they went wild-in the best way! I have also started a new unit with my Kindergarten classes which also ties in math and science, but we are focusing on the weather, and we will be creating watercolor snowmen collages.
Follow us on instagram, @ps65si, to see our project updates!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Someone Who Cares and 20 other donors.Stop Motion Materials for Future Film Makers!
Funded Mar 27, 2018We can't thank you enough for your generous donation. We used the I-Pod Touch and case to create Stop Motion videos. Stop Motion is essentially a cartoon flip book using photographs. In our Enrichment program, we used our knowledge of different genres, and worked in groups to develop original stories to be made into Stop Motion videos.
Our school will do whatever we can to encourage, enhance, and engage all students. We understand the importance of moving with the times and teaching our students how to use technology in positive and productive ways. This was one extremely successful way we integrate technology and that's thanks to you!
The best part of it is that the students take complete control and ownership of the project from outlining the story elements to creating the props and characters all while problem solving. It truly is magical to see. Thank you once again for your help!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Stuto
