Brain Popping Fun
Funded Dec 1, 2020I use this Brain Pop subscription every Friday with my students. We use the activities as a class game to review or introduce topics in all areas of the curriculum. The students love the characters, games, and interactiveness of the program. Since this is a classroom subscription we can only do it as a class. The students love it and always want to do more.
The students work in teams on many of the activities and make it a class game to see who can get the most answers correct each time. They also like being able to beat the timer or other aspects of each of the activities. This program has made learning fun while they are learning from home. Without your generous donation, this program would not have been able to be used this year with my students.”

Funded Mar 17, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation. The headphones will be a welcome addition to our classroom technology. The student love to listen to story read on EPIC, and the math lessons being reviewed and taught on Zearn. They also like to listen to sound on other applications we use in class. These will come in very handy when we take our state test in a few weeks. The students will be required to listen to part of the test and answer questions about what they heard. It will also help block other noise while they are reading and taking the test. Without your donations they would have to use older headphones that are not the best for listening. They only kind of work or are full of static. Thank you again for your support.”

We are required to do 100 minutes a week of PE. With the new equipment we have what me need to not only teach the require standards and skills the students need to learn, but also equipment to keep them active and have fun. The equipment we had in the past was limited and had to be shared with all the classrooms in the school. The equipment you provided is for our classroom and the other third grade classroom to use when we teach PE. Thank you again for your help providing this equipment to the classroom.”

Funded Jan 26, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation to help buy books for my classroom. My students LOVE the books and I have a hard time keeping them on the bookshelves. They love reading the nonfiction stories about history and people of the past. We will use these books for many years to come as well as for our Famous American research project next month. With out your help the students would be limited to who they could research for this project. The books came with information on current famous Americans like President Obama and Stephan Curry. Thank you again for your help in providing these books for my students.”

Funded Aug 10, 2016The students love having the copier in the classroom. If they make a mistake on a paper they get to make a copy of that paper to redo it. They also love being able to copy color photographs from books to add to research projects and presentations. Another thing the student love about the color printer is that they can print their typed books and slides off Google drive in color. The color printer has a made a huge impact in my students lives. It has made things more accessible for both the students and myself. Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom.”

Headphones for All
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. My students LOVE the new headphones. They are working very well for them. The students love having headphones that are not broken, that fit their heads, and are not falling apart or full of static. Without your help my students would have to use the old ones daily. This would be bad when we do our state testing. Our testing is done all online. Students need to listen to different parts of the test. Thanks you, they will have a clear sound and access to this part of the state tests. My classroom students, my after school computer class, after school program, and other classrooms will be using these headphones this year. You have made a big impact on many students. Thank you again.”

Projecting Thoughts
Funded Jan 8, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students will be silly excited to receive and use the Apple TV and projector. It will be nice to be able to use these technologies to assist student projects and presentations. It will also be useful for daily instruction. I can not wait to use the Apple TV while I am at the back of the classroom so I do not block the screen when sitting up front with my computer. Your generosity and support is appreciated. Thank you again.”

Funded Jan 9, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation of books to my classroom. My students love books. I read one of the books aloud to the class for a class read aloud and got them hooked. They are all now fighting to check these types of books out from the class library. These books will be a wonderful addition to my class library. Every year I do a fairytale unit for reading and writing skills. These books are tools I encourage my students to use to see different points of view on the same topic. I also used these books to compare and analyze story structures. Without your donation, I would not have been able to provide these books for my students. Thank you again.”

Reward Me
Funded Mar 17, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation of reward incentives for my classroom. My students were so excited to see them today. All of a sudden they began to remember to record their daily points so that they can meet the goal and get their prize. The stuffed animals in the rewards are a huge hit and the students are eager to try to get one of those prizes. These prized definitely motivated my students to try their best, be on their best behavior, and try to achieve their goals. Without your generous donation I would not be able to provide these toys/ incentives as freely as I am now. Thank you again.”

Center Time Fun
Funded Apr 25, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The caddies, folders, and labels will make it easier for my students to get the supplies they need to complete leveled and self guided center activities. All students learn at a different level. In my classroom I have students work on 3 different levels. Those who are on grade level, those who are above grade level, and those who are approaching or below grade level standards. To help meet the diverse needs in my class I have leveled activities. The hanging folder holders are a wonderful way for me to put the materials that group needs out and not have them getting lost sitting on a table or in their desks. The materials will help my students and I stay organized and keep the materials for activities in one place. Thank you again for donating to my classroom.”
