My firsties attend a school where the majority of students receive free or reduced lunch. It may even be true that many of my students are challenged with difficult circumstances in one form or another, yet these amazing learners are filled with inquisitiveness, imagination, and an overall fascination with all things around them!
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning though the method and environment in which they learn best may vary greatly.
I strive to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, collaborative work, alternative seating, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
At home, my students may not have the means to always get what they need, but within the walls of our classroom, I strive to create an atmosphere of equal access for ALL to develop a strong foundation for academic, social, and potentially lifelong success.
