  • Help Distance Learners Be More Engaged!

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

Thank you so much for funding the TPT gift card. The resources available from Teachers Pay Teachers have been such a great supplement to help engage my students. With the gift card, I've been able to purchase so many writing resources and supplemental content that keeps my lessons fresh and engaging for all.

The ease in implementation of the materials has been a true lifesaver. The fact that many of the materials come complete with multiple versions has saved me many hours of preparation and planning. This has allowed me to focus on making sure I cover all the standards and plan for the long term!

My students have loved using these resources and look forward to engaging lessons every day. I can't thank the donors enough for making writing and distance learning more exciting!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Palacio

  • It's TIME for Kids!

    Funded Aug 20, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation that allowed our class to receive a subscription to Time for Kids. The magazine has made such a tremendous impact on my students. Since we've been distance learning, many things have changed. The up to date content has really kept my students engaged. They love reading and discussing the many articles in the magazines. The information is current, relevant, and engaging. Not only has it helped to fine-tune my students listening and speaking skills, but it has inspired my students to learn more and dig deeper into all content areas.

One very important impact that Time for Kids has had on my class is that it has helped my students learn about this year's presidential election. My students were so interested in getting the most up-to-date information about the elections. This led to many in-depth discussions and lots of brainstorming and problem-solving. They really learned so much about our government and democracy!

My students and I can't thank you enough for your donations. Time for Kids has ignited the spark of learning in my classroom especially in these difficult times!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Palacio

  • Ready for Robotics!

    Funded Nov 15, 2016

The robots that you donated have made a huge impact on my students. When we first got them, they were so excited to try them out. We started with a robotics competition which consisted of five coding challenges. My students developed problem solving skills like I have never seen before. They were so committed to working together and progressing through the challenges that they forgot that they were learning!

These robots can be integrated into the curriculum in so many ways. With your donation came a subscription to lesson plans for ALL content areas. My students are using the robots to create number lines, learn about force and motion, mapping, and so many other things. Lessons have become so exciting and interactive.

The use of these robots has now allowed everyone in my class to experience coding in a new way. I have taught coding to my classes for the last few years. Some students have difficulty understanding the algorithms associated with coding on the computer. These robots bring coding to real life, and everyone becomes involved in the process! The hands on approach has given my students a clearer picture of the application of coding. I know these robots will help them inspire them to become the innovators of the future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Palacio

  • It's TIME for kids to get reading!

    Funded Jan 28, 2016

Thank you so much for your donation that allowed our class to receive a subscription to Time for Kids. The magazine has made such a tremendous impact on my students. They love reading and discussing the many articles in the magazines. The information is current, relevant, and engaging. Not only has it helped to fine tune my students listening and speaking skills, but it has inspired my students to learn more and dig deeper in all content areas.

One very important impact that Time for Kids has had on my class is that it has helped create a Project- Based Learning assignment about bees. My students first read an article in Time for Kids about the current issues facing the honey bees. They were so inspired by the article that they felt they had to do something. We are currently working on ways to educate and come up with some solutions to help solve the declining bee population.

My students and I can't thank you enough for your donations. Time for Kids has ignited the spark of learning in my classroom!”

  • iNeed iHelp!

    Funded Sep 18, 2015

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Our class uses the i Pads almost on a daily basis. These i Pads provide my students with the ability to get instant answers to important questions when doing assignments that require background knowledge. When doing group projects students can now explore topics with more depth and complexity. They are able to take pictures and videos with the i Pad and this helps enhance their presentations and strengthen their public speaking skills. My students have become more engaged when using the i Pads.

Another great feature the i Pads bring to our classroom is the ability to practice technology skills for the new assessments the district is using. My students can now practice typing and using formatting tools that are now required for the interim and end of the year testing, giving them a head start on mastering the tested skills.

One of the most exciting uses of the i Pads that my students love is the ability to play learning games. The i Pads make the experience something to really look forward to. After working on a skill, the i Pads provide a great way for my students to practice what they've learned in a fun and engaging way.

We are so thankful for this wonderful addition to our classroom! Thank you for making this project become a reality for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Palacio
