  • Panther Celebration

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

Thank you for supporting this project. Celebrating students is one of my passions as it boosts their confidence and inspires them to put forth their best efforts. They will love this recognition and celebration. It truly takes a village. This wouldn’t be possible without your support-thank you for believing in my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Espinoza

  • The Gift of Gratitude and Reading for Joy

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you for your generous contribution towards this project. Thanks to you, I was able to provide guided gratitude journals to my students as part of their Christmas gift, along with other snacks from this project, to have at home to continue practicing gratitude and mindfulness outside of the classroom. We have been practicing journaling and they have expressed that they enjoy it and that it has helped their mental health. The books that were purchased are popular among students and are a nice addition to have for students who like to read for pleasure.”

We have been practicing journaling and they have expressed that they enjoy it and that it has helped their mental health. • Soaring to Success Aviation & STEM Kits

    Funded Oct 28, 2024

Thank you so much for contributing to this fun project. Students were definitely engaged and had a lot of fun collaborating with their classmates on these creations. The conversations they had and critical thinking skills they used on these tasks were impressive. I hadn't seen so much engagement from them all year! One of the things that I liked the most about this project is that the materials were enough to complete several projects as each kit contained multiple models. It was exciting to see that learning and collaboration that took place. Thank you for making this happen.”

  • I Can and I Will Go to College!

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you for believing in my project and in my students. All students who received grades of "C" or higher were entered into a Wheel of Names for an opportunity to win some prizes. The wheel, with the winners, was displayed on social media and the school website. The winners were excited to be chosen and grateful for their prizes. What a fun way to reward students for their efforts and achievements while motivating them, and their peers, to strive to reach their full potential. Thank you for allowing me to provide these fun opportunities for students.”

  • I Can and I Will Go to College (Pt.2)

    Funded Jun 28, 2024

Thank you for supporting this very special project. I had the shirts out on display and students would ask me what I was going to do with them. I told them that everyone who earned only A-C's on their report cards would be eligible to win one. They were excited. When report cards came out, eligible students' names were entered into a Wheel of Names to choose the winners. It turned into a game and the anticipation made it so much fun. Students who did not see their name on the wheel said they'd make it next time. It's fun incentives like these that makes students want to try hard and put their best effort- AND they get to have a college shirt to wear on College Gear Mondays! Thank ou for allowing me to provide these opportunities for students.”

  • Let's Celebrate-You Deserve It!

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

Thank you for donating materials for decorations and as well as the funding for food items for our student celebration. The vases and pampas are a gift that will keep on giving as they can be reused for future student celebrations and school activities. Students really enjoy seeing the decor and theme chosen for each awards ceremony.

As far as the food, everyone enjoyed it and thought it was delicious! Students were served chicken with garden salad, rolls, cookies and water and their choice of potato or macaroni salad. Students received a certificate and were able to take pictures in front of a nice backdrop. Thank you for making this, and future celebrations, memorable.”

  • Tools for Physical and Mental Health

    Funded Nov 3, 2024

Thank your for your generosity and support to get these resources for my classroom and students. Students have shared that journaling has been helping them with their mental health and is helping them reflect on themselves and put things in perspective. The resource book on activities has really helped give me ideas on how to get students to work together and engage in activities that promote collaboration and communication- they seem to enjoy these, although sometimes they become a little frustrated.

The books and walking pad have served as incentives and rewards for students. They look forward to completing their assignments so that they can have time to read or walk on the walking pad (they take turns). Several of my students are athletes so they say that walking on it helps them stretch and warm up. Thank you for allowing me to provide these experiences for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Espinoza

  • Celebration Time!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you for supporting my project and my vision. I love to celebrate students because it boots their confidence and gives them the motivation to either try harder or continue to work hard. What makes this project special is that students can be recognized for character traits and effort as well as for showing improvement, not just for academics. This allows for more students to be rewarded and for students' efforts and progress to be recognized. Additionally, students truly felt special being able to share a special meal in a nice "fancy" setting with their teachers and other peers. It provides them an opportunity to build connections and positive relationships. Thank you for allowing me to make this happen.”

The students I work with are “at-promise” and they are asked to stay after school, come in before school, and/or Saturdays for tutorials and enrichment opportunities. Although they are allowed to bring food and snacks, not all of them are able to. There are stores and fast food places outside the school but most of our students rely on free lunch and cannot afford to purchase snacks to eat outside of the school day. I would love to have a classroom pantry of snacks for my students to be able to have a snack while working on their academics rather than be hungry and unable to concentrate.
