  • Paying it Forward

    Funded Apr 1, 2025

Thank you for your generous contribution. Thanks to these materials, I’ll be able to have clothing giveaways on a regular basis as well as start a “care” closet for students to have access to clothing. This has been an eye opening experience as I didn’t realize there was such a need. Thank you for supporting my school’s students”

  • Go With The Flow

    Funded Mar 28, 2025

Thank you for contributing to my project and allowing me the opportunity to provide students with essential items plus some extra non-essential but "feel good" items. It is a relief to be able to help students in need but I could not do this on my own. It takes a village and I thank you for being part of mine.”

  • Feeding Physical and Emotional Needs

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

Thank you for supporting this project. My students love to get rewarded and celebrated or given treats "just because." Thanks to your donations of the gift cards, I was able to purchase popular snacks and drinks for students a a great price. Some of the other items from this project were used to create treat bags for students to have on Valentine's Day. I teach at the high school level and sometimes I feel that students aren't celebrated enough. I appreciate you allowing me to bring some joy to students.”

Thank you for supporting this very important project. I like to be able to support my students' physical and emotional well-being in addition to their academics. Thanks to you, girls will have access to these essential supplies for their hygiene and physical comfort. I appreciate you paying it forward.”

  • You Shine Bright!

    Funded Mar 9, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation and for making this student celebration possible. It is important for students to know that others believe in them and their potential. I truly believe these types of recognition help motivate them and give them the confidence to work harder. It takes a village.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Espinoza

  • Panther Celebration

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

Thank you so much for contributing to this very special project. It is always fun to celebrate and recognize students for their efforts and accomplishments. Students loved the food- we had pasta, sandwiches, rolls, and salad as well as water and cookies. Their names were written on paws (for our mascot) and displayed on the wall as decor. Each student also received a certificate and a button/pin, for bragging rights ; ) Each award recipient took a picture with the staff member that nominated and received a printed copy for themselves. High school students, in my opinion, don't get celebrated enough, or as much as the lower levels, so this is a nice opportunity to remind them that they are "seen" and valued.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Espinoza

  • Celebration Time!

    Funded Feb 11, 2025

I'm so grateful for your generosity. It's nice to be able to celebrate and acknowledge students' efforts and food is one of the best rewards and incentives. Students truly feel valued when they feel "seen" and celebrated and thanks to you, we will able to do this once again. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Espinoza

  • The Gift of Gratitude and Reading for Joy

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you for your generous contribution towards this project. Thanks to you, I was able to provide guided gratitude journals to my students as part of their Christmas gift, along with other snacks from this project, to have at home to continue practicing gratitude and mindfulness outside of the classroom. We have been practicing journaling and they have expressed that they enjoy it and that it has helped their mental health. The books that were purchased are popular among students and are a nice addition to have for students who like to read for pleasure.”

The students I work with are “at-promise” and they are asked to stay after school, come in before school, and/or Saturdays for tutorials and enrichment opportunities. Although they are allowed to bring food and snacks, not all of them are able to. There are stores and fast food places outside the school but most of our students rely on free lunch and cannot afford to purchase snacks to eat outside of the school day. I would love to have a classroom pantry of snacks for my students to be able to have a snack while working on their academics rather than be hungry and unable to concentrate.
