Students will be using the 3D printer to see their computer aided design (CAD) projects come to life. They have been using a web-based program that teaches them how to use science, technology, engineering and math concepts. Students' solutions will then come to life by using the CAD program to design a real hands-on model. After going through two months of learning and practice how to use the tools on "Tinkercad" students will create their own project that they will be able to print out. This project would significantly help my students' understand the design process that engineer use to create and design. They will actually see how math and problem solving effect a final product. This will give my students a new way to communicate and combine their ideas, skills and knowledge. In the future I hope to incorporate it into all my classes to bridge the gap between all academic areas.
