  • Odd and Ends Class Needs

    Funded May 27, 2021

Thank you for allowing my students to have supplies that are all the same. We have iPads this year and the stylus are a great tool to help move objects and write. Using the stylus helping with "pencil" grip. Having numbers that stick to the floor to lineup with space between is wonderful! We will use the counters, erasers and dice during math. These will allow every student to have their own manipulatives. The plastic envelope will allow each student to keep their special supplies in their desk for the year. Thank you you allowing my students start the year with all the same supplies.”

  • Book Series

    Funded Jun 14, 2021

Thank you very much for the donation to purchase the books for our classroom. We have began reading books in a series this week. Reading a series is a great way to see a character go on different adventures. Students are able to relate to the characters and some use the adventures to help write their own stories. We will enjoy learning about the characters and going on adventures with them. My students were excited to open the box and see Fly Guy and Elephant and Piggy. There were a few they had not seen before and can not wait to read them. Thank you for the great adventures through the stories.”

  • Pop-it Learning

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you for allowing my students to have a "different" way of learning. Learning with hands-on material is essential in early learning. Having something to touch and manipulate is great fun while learning math. These students were very engaged with learning their addition facts! We would pop one bubble for each number. For example 3+5. Pop 3 now pop 5 more. Turn over your popper to count the sum. They did not want to stop learning, they were so excited. Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Reading Stools and Phones

    Funded May 6, 2021

Thank you for making reading a little more fun and quieter. The students are enjoying coming to our small group table and sitting on a new stool. Using the quiet reading phone is a bonus! Students are eager to come read and work at the big teacher table with the new stools. Some ask to sit there to work now instead of at their desk. The reading phone is a huge hit and they all want one. They keep asking when is it my turn to come use the phone. Not what I expected but truly enjoying the outcome. Thank you for your generous donation that has encouraged student readers to read, read, read!📚”

  • Pop It and Squish Fidget Toys

    Funded Apr 29, 2021

Thank you for allowing my students to enjoy math, sentence building and fidgeting towards the end of the school year. The pop-it fidget toy has been a great resource not only for popping while working but also helping with addition and subtraction facts. They have also used for counting the number of words needed to write their sentence. Then when they write the words they "unpop" the bubble. The students are enjoying being able to wiggle their fingers and pop the bubbles while working. Several have now bought their own. Thank you again for allowing my students to have an outlet while working. Who knew that popping the little bubble would help hold their attention while working.”

  • Rockin in Science

    Funded Apr 22, 2021

Thank you for your support in our science curriculum. My students have enjoyed looking at different types of rocks, thanks to you! We have seen sand and pebbles with discussion on how these are found in soil. Several have brought in soil samples from home to show what rocks are in their yards! They love to use their hand lense to discover what their eye might not be able to see. We will be finished up the unit this week and ending with breaking of the geodes. I can not wait to see their excitement when they are allowed to break a rock.”

  • Look Desk Pets Are Watching

    Funded Apr 11, 2021

My students have adopted their pet and are currently earning food and accessories for their pets. Students are able to earn extra food, accessories and friends for the their pets by listening and following directions, being a good friend and helping someone else. Each student has named their pet and have placed a name card on their desk above their pets home for everyone that comes into the classroom to get to know their pet. The desk pets are a blessing for the end of year for the students and teachers alike. Thank you for helping bring the desk pets to our classroom.”

  • Osmo Math Wizards

    Funded Oct 19, 2020

Thank you for your support in my classroom. I am able to use Osmo with my after school tutoring group.

The students love being able to use hands on material while learning. The hands on materials while being interactive with the iPad is a great tool for these students. If we are no using Osmo the students are asking why! The students are engaged and learning even after a long day in the classroom.

The Osmo Math Wizard has been a great tool to help learn different math concepts such as measurement. A different strategy at age six.

Thank you again for your support and allowing my students the opportunity to learn with Osmo.”

  • Individual Reading and Writing Supplies

    Funded Sep 4, 2020

My students are enjoying using the highlighters on their personal stories. Using the highlighter to show the spaces between each word. Also to show where the capital and punctuation are in each sentence. The blue spacer has been used by all and use it all the time. I have seen them get it out for their books to follow along while reading too. We are using dry erase boards a lot this year to show what we know and what we are learning during writing and math. So the dry erase markers with eraser are being used every day. Thank you for your generosity and support in my classroom!”

  • Supply Trays

    Funded Oct 3, 2020

Thank you for your support in our classroom! This year has been different with supplies. We are not able to share supplies in the classroom or in art class, we are enjoying being able to put everything into one container that will travel with us to art class too. These containers also are used for small group instruction throughout the day. When students are called to work in a small groups with a teacher, they now can bring everything needed with them. Having supply trays has been very essential for this school year. Thank you very much for allowing us to have these materials in our classroom!”
