Exciting New Book Adventures in a Positive Confetti Classroom
Funded Jul 26, 2019I wish you could have been here to see the excited little faces I was greeted with when my students got a look at our classroom. This year is in full swing and the students and I use the materials you donated each and every single day. They love checking out the new books, using the craft and school supplies to work, and they absolutely love the decorations and new flexible seating. I think their favorite new donation is the picture printer and sticker paper!! They really enjoy getting to post pictures of themselves working their hardest and having fun learning. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. We think of you every day and are so grateful to have supportive family and friends like you.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Normand
This classroom project was brought to life by Craig Newmark Philanthropies and 18 other donors.Move and Groove
Funded Jun 2, 2018My students were in awe when they walked into my classroom this year. Some gasped, some stood there with wide excited eyes, and they all said " I love it in here". They still love coming into my room and some kids beg me each day to be in my class. We are so grateful to you and your help. The kids absolutely love sitting on the floor and using the surf desks! They are so enjoying using the colorful stools and the busy bands at the tables. We use the many things y'all donated every single day. Thank you so much for your support and generosity. It's so nice to have these things and to be able to share with my fellow educators.”

Bounce Into Learning!
Funded Jul 1, 2016Hello again! It's been a crazy and amazing couple of months back at school! The bouncy balls, timers, and hot dot cards/games have been a huge hit! The students love everything we got for them. The bouncy balls have helped in at least 5 different classrooms, impacting so many teachers and students. The students who use the balls are able to learn while getting their extra wiggles out. They are able to focus on working with their groups and writing instead of being uncomfortable and full of energy.
All of the students in my science class were able to use the class set of stop watches to do an experiment. They made parachutes for jack (from jack and the beanstock). They helped each other and taught their groups how to use the stopwatches. One person timed the baseline drop where jack had no parachute and the others took turns timing each other while they dropped jack with their home-made parachutes on. They were able to learn about the scientific method as well as scientific tools. It was so much fun! We are all looking forward to more experiments.
You have truly improved many lives and brightened many lives. Thank you so much for your time and donations. We all appreciate it daily!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Normand
