One area my students struggle with is writing. They know what they want to say but have a hard time putting their thoughts into words and making those words come alive. They absolutely love our weekly Scholastic News magazines and I want to bring this highly engaging style of learning to the writing process. The Just Write magazines provide interesting and engaging topics the students love. They provide step by step writing lessons and numerous practice activities. This will give my students the motivation and confidence they need to be successful writers. My creative and energetic students have a voice and they need the guidance and confidence to put their thoughts into words and words into actions. They will learn how to research and use credible sources. They will learn to express their ideas clearly and concisely. They will learn to write arguments and clarify their position. My students will learn to love writing!
