  • Group It Up-Small Groups in Action

    Funded Feb 17, 2017

Thank you again for supporting my classroom! Students were so excited to receive our new small group table. They love it just as much as I do! We have been using the new table for small groups. I am able to reach and interact with students more effectively with this new table. We rotate through three different small reading groups a day and one math group daily. It has greatly enhanced our small group reading and math time! I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for not only helping my current students, but future students as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Niccum

  • Wiggle and Move While Still Working

    Funded Nov 16, 2016

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! My students were so excited to receive our packages. The look on their faces as they opened the packages was priceless! My students use our new tools daily. We rotate the balls and stools on a weekly basis. My students that have a hard time focusing are doing so much better! These new seats allow them to wiggle while still working. Their time on task has also greatly increased. I cannot being to express my gratitude and appreciation for not only helping my current students, but my future students as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Niccum

My young first graders still need to be allowed to move about and wiggle safely while doing their work. The wobble stools, balls, and bands for their feet will allow my students safe ways to get their wiggles out while still working. While I offer my students multiple brain breaks throughout the day, they still have a hard time focusing and doing their work. Students currently sit on a hard, boring chair that does not allow them to release energy. My students with special needs and/or ADHD will especially benefit from these items. All items will allow students to release energy and get extra sensory input all while continuing to work. This will also help increase time on task and overall work completed. I am excited about these new tools to enhance the overall learning environment of my classroom!
