  • Reading Manipulatives for Little Minds at Work

    Funded Jun 27, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my latest Donors Choose project. I was so excited to have this project funded. The cafeteria trays have been an amazing addition to our classroom. I use them for art, play-doh time, and for small group work. The trays help the students keep all of their activity pieces organized. This saves me so much time. I no longer have to make sure all the pieces for games and centers are together. The students magically keep everything on the tray.

Having a variety of pens to use has been such a treat. My students love it when they get to use one of the pens. The finger-focus highlighters are a fun addition to our reading time. Students love using them when searching for specific letters or words.

Having enough Kleenex has been great. so many kids have runny noses and having Kleenex handy is so wonderful. Thank you so much for all that you do for classroom teachers.”

  • Fidgety Kids

    Funded Jun 2, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom, my students, and this project. The surf desks have been a great addition to our flexible seating options. Students who find sitting in a chair often choose the surf desk. These desks allow students to sit on the floor and still complete classwork. The shoe-tying kits are going to help my students learn to tie their shoes. We are pairing up with our fourth-grade buddies next week. Our buddies will be assisting my students and teaching them how to tie their shoes. The timer is also a great addition to our classroom. Thank you so much for all of your support.”

  • STEM Tub Time

    Funded May 11, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my STEM project. My students absolutely love this creative time. Having a variety of STEM materials available for my students to use is extremely helpful. My student love to use their imagination and creativity during our STEM time. I enjoy seeing all of the amazing creations my students come up with. Our daily STEM Tub time provides my students the opportunity to work together collaboratively, learning to talk and share with each other. These STEM materials also help my students to develop their fine motor skills, which are very important for their writing.”

  • Books for Students and Teachers to Learn

    Funded May 8, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this project. I am so excited to finally have a laminator to use in the classroom for small projects. Often I need to laminate just a few pieces of paper. Being able to do this when needed saves me so much valuable prep time. I am also enjoying the use of the professional development book All About the ABCs. This book is giving me a lot of background knowledge that I am able to use when teaching phonics to my students. My students are enjoying the Little Spot of Learning Books that I have been reading to them. These books are perfect for teaching about so many important life skills. Thank you so much for your support. It is greatly appreciated.”

  • Emergent Books for Amazing Readers

    Funded May 9, 2023

thank you so much for supporting this project. My first graders and my kindergarten students were so excited to see all of the new books that we added to our library area. My first graders loved being able to read the same books together. My kindergarten students were very excited to read the Piggie and Elephant books.

Having multiple copies of the same books allows for students to read together as partners. My students were also to buddy read these books with their third and fourth-grade big buddies. Thank you so much for supporting my emerging readers.”

  • Decodable Books for Emergent Readers

    Funded May 11, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project, Decodable Books for Emergent Readers. My first-grade students were so excited when u revealed the new books to them. They were beyond thrilled to have more Elephant and Piggy Books to enjoy in our classroom. As their teacher, I enjoyed watching my students sit together reading and sharing these books with each other. Watching these students read with excitement warmed my teacher heart. We used the Frog and Toad books for small group reading and as read-aloud. The students now have books they can read and feel successful with. Thank you so much for helping my students learn to love to read.”

  • T-Shirts for Fabulous Kids

    Funded Mar 9, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project. I had a blast making these t-shirts for my amazing kindergarten and first-grade students. On the last day of school, I surprised my students with their new shirts. They were beyond thrilled and excited to wear them. They wore their new shirts with pride. Other teachers at my school now want to do this next year as well. Perhaps it will become a new school tradition. Thank you so much for supporting my project and m vision. This was the best class I have had in my 29 years of teaching. I wanted to show them how much I appreciated their hard work this year as they leave my classroom ready for first and second grade.”

  • Just Charge It

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

thank you so much for supporting my "Just Charge It' Project. The items from this project are truly helping me to be more efficient with teaching and planning. the power strip allows me to plug several items into our outlet when needed. sometimes students need to use their iPad and charge it while using it. Students can sit in the charging area and still continue to work on their iPads. Having an extra charge cable has come in handy too. Lastly having a second laptop charger allows me to be able to work from home on my laptop as needed. Before I was having to bring my charger home from school, this was a chore as it is secured to my desk area. Thank you again for helping me.”

  • Crafts for Lunar New Year

    Funded Dec 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my kindergarten and first-grade students. My students really enjoyed learning about Chinese New Years celebrations and making their lunar new year crafts. Our mobile workstation houses all of our crafting supplies. It keeps our class laminator, die-cut machine, and other crafting items safe and out of the way.

I am so appreciative of donors like you who help fund public school classrooms. Without your support, so many classrooms would not have the needed supplies or the extra supplies that help make learning fun. Thank you”

  • Secret Stories for Phonics Skills Mastery

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project, "Secret Stories for Phonics Skills Mastery". My students are loving the materials. Each day w are learning a new "secret Story". The Secret Story helps my students remember the sounds of certain letters and letter combinations. They are starting to use these skills in their reading and writing.

Each day they look forward to hearing a new "Secret Story". I am so thankful to be able to have these materials to use with my kindergarten and first-grade class. I can't wait for next year's group of students to be able to have access to these materials at the start of the school year. Thank you so much for supporting our classroom.”

I teach at a very low socio--economic school. The majority of my students are second language learners. More than 3/4 of my class is on free or reduced lunch. Asking our families to help with fundraisers is out of the question. My students love school, they love to learn and are eager to learn.
