  • Reading and Writing Tools for Kindergarten

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my project. I was thrilled to be able to present my student each with a book to celebrate their end of kindergarten. On the last day of school, I read the story, The Night Before Kindergarten Graduation", and then presented each student with their envelope that contained the book and their certificates. the students were very surprised to learn that they would each be bringing a book home.

The whiteboards were added to our small group table. now when I work with students, they no longer will need to bring their whiteboard. I will have a set just for small groups.

The journals will be used for next year's class of students. Thank you so much for all of your support.”

  • Phonics for Fluency

    Funded Mar 11, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my Phonics for Fluency project. The books and materials are amazing. I have not only read the books with my class, but have shared them with my teacher friends.

These books help students to understand the tricky phonics rules using a light-hearted storyline. The concepts are tangible for the students making it easier for students to remember the rules.

I have been reading the professional educator book and have been able to apply some of the strategies to my classroom. This summer I plan to join a book study using this book to gain further insight into the strategies and techniques the author suggests to make phonics instruction meaningful.”

  • Bilingual Books and Resources for English Language Learners

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my Bilingual Books Project. Each week my students take home a book bag to read and share with their family. Most of my students speak Spanish, so having books in their native language is important. These books allow families to read in their native language.

My students were so thrilled to be able to use these books. The stories are ones we have read this past year. Having the stories in Spanish will help students make the connection and allow their families to connect with their students.

Thank you so much for supporting this project and my students as well as their families.”

  • Student T-Shirts for Super Students

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

thank you so much for supporting my t-shirt Project. Although creating these t-shirts takes a lot of time and energy, it is worth it. The look on my student's faces and how proud they felt wearing their new spirit t-shirts was worth it. I presented my students their shirts and they immediately started putting them on. They looked adorable walking around campus matching each other. The shirts were to congratulate them on their hard work.

I am so grateful to provide my students with school spirit shirts to celebrate their accomplishments in reading. thank you so much for supporting this project.”

  • Organization and Fine Motor for Kindergarten

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom of amazing kindergarten students. The supplies I received have helped me and my students so much with staying organized in the classroom. The zippered pouches hold the student's headphones. Now headphones are neatly organized and the wires are no longer tangled together. The pouches are also used to organize center activities.

The magnetic tape helps to adhere centerpieces to our whiteboard. Students can easily move the pieces around. We have been using the letter beads to build sight words. We will also be using these with our fourth-grade buddies to make friendship bracelets.

Thank yo so much for supporting my classroom. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

  • Before School Starts- Supplies to Set Up the Classroom

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this back-to-school project. It feels wonderful to have all of the basic supplies I need to start the school year. Having dry-erase markers and glue sticks for every student has been amazing. I am now able to provide my students with these materials. I have loved being able to laminate my resources. Kindergartners are rough on supplies. Having laminated papers helps save them. We use the magnetic tape a lot. I am able to make magnetic activities for students to use with our white board.

    thanks for supporting us.”

  • First Day of Kindergarten-Hooray!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for helping our kindergarten team create a fun welcome-to-kindergarten experience. Our families loved the giant welcome-to-kindergarten banners we had hanging outside of our classrooms. Students and families took the treasured priceless first day of kindergarten photo. I know those photos will be a cherished memory. Even my teammate and I took our First Day of School photo with the banners. Our students also loved the welcome-to-kindergarten bracelets they received on the first day of school. Thanks so much for making our first day memorable.”

  • Back to School Read Alouds

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our read-aloud project. My student loved all of the new back-to-school books about using school supplies the correct way. The books were engaging and informative for teaching school supply rules. Our guest readers love the comfy new chair to use during read-aloud time. This chair gets so much use. Not only do we have adults come to guest read in our room, but I also have former students who come each week to read to my class. They love being able to sit in the special chair. Thank you for making our class a fun place to visit.”

  • Creating Phonemic Awareness and a Love for Reading

    Funded Jul 11, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my project for creating phonemic awareness. Teaching reading to kindergarten students gives me such joy. Being able to provide my students with the Heggerty video program for phonemic awareness has been a game changer. This program gives my students the essential tools for phonics through video. The videos are interactive and engaging. My students already have learned so much. During our daily read-alouds, my students look forward to me using the app- novel Effects. Theis app provides background sounds for stories, making the stories engaging and entertaining. Thank you so much for supporting this project.”

I teach at a very low socio--economic school. The majority of my students are second language learners. More than 3/4 of my class is on free or reduced lunch. Asking our families to help with fundraisers is out of the question. My students love school, they love to learn and are eager to learn.
