• New Year, New Stories, New Games

  Thank you for supporting our project! Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas is a fun twist on the classic story Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It is fun to compare the two versions and see what is the same and what is different. My students are excited to have kickballs so that we can play a new game in the new year. These kickballs are very sturdy and should be durable enough to last the rest of the year.

• Painting in the New Year

  Thank you for supporting Painting in the New Year. Art is so important, as it is a way for students to be creative and to see where their imaginations take them. Acrylic paint is a medium that we don't get use that often,, and so being able to use acrylic paint is a gift. Acrylics provide students with the opportunity to blend paints and try different textures. There are so many different projects that we can do with these paints. We appreciate your support and are looking forward to being creative!”

• More Painting in the New Year

  Thanks for giving us the opportunity to do More Painting in the New Year! My students are so creative and I appreciate that I have supplies for them to use as they express their creativity. Acrylic paint is a fun medium to work with. Students can mix colors to make subtle shade differences, which is why we needed so much white! I am looking forward to seeing where my students' imaginations take them as they create on a blank canvas. We appreciate your support of our classroom and are looking forward to letting our inner artist shine!”

• Hula Hooping Into the New Year

  Funded Dec 27, 2024

  The new year is a great time for wishes and resolutions. Having these hula hoops makes that even more fun! We are able to.put the hula hoops out on the playground and practice tossing bean bags in. As we did this, we were able to make wishes for the new year. Students are also using the hula hoops to have good old fashioned hula hoop contests. It is fun to see those who can hula hoop teaching those who are still working on it. Thank you for bringing such joy to my students. We appreciate you!”

• Coloring For The New Year

  Funded Dec 27, 2024

  Coloring For The New Year is a great project. While the volleyballs that I had originally requested were out of stock, it turned out to be. great thing. Instead, I was able to purchase a ball pump, which we definitely need in order pump up the equipment we have received. This has been a huge gift, and has made getting the equipment ready for my students even easier. I am also excited about the Lunar New Year coloring book. The designs inside are relatable to our students, and there is an animal for each year. Thank you for your support!”

• In the Year of Play

  Funded Dec 27, 2024

  In the Year of Play is such a fun project! My students we thrilled when they saw that we have more playground balls for recess. When you are a kid, there is nothing better than new recess equipment, and playground balls are multifunctional and in high demand. Our students use the playground balls for handball, kickball, dodgeball, four square and more! I am also excited for students to read, In The Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson With Lunar New Year and baseball season right around the corner, students will connect with Shirley Temple Wong who finds herself connecting to her classmates through baseball. We appreciate your support of our classroom!”

• More Fun in the New Year

  The timing of More Fun in the New Year is perfect! We are defiantly looking forward to having More Fun in the New Year! In just a few weeks our school is getting a new volleyball court. Our students are so excited, and having these volleyballs ahead of time gives our students a chance to practice some of the basic skills like hitting and setting the ball. Living in Southern California, volleyball is a big game when students go the beach, and I am excited to provide them with the opportunity to learn it while they are still in elementary school. I am also excited to share the Mad Libs with my students.”

• Fun in the New Year

  We will definitely be having Fun in the New Year with the materials in this project! Dodgeball is such a fun game to play. Our students get very competitive, and our upper grades even have a dodgeball tournament during lunch. Having enough dodgeballs to make this happen is important, and I am looking forward to seeing our students' enthusiasm during the tournament.

  We have many students who celebrate Lunar New Year, and they were excited to see a Mad Libs with this theme.

• Goals in the New Year

  Funded Dec 28, 2024

  Thanks for supporting Goals in the New Year. I am excited to have soccer balls and a storage bag to use during PE. We enjoy playing this game, and having an easy way to transport the equipment makes it so much easier!

  We have many students who celebrate Lunar New Year, and the Mad Libs are fun for my students to do. They enjoy seeing their holiday represented, and often laugh together when they read the final product.

• More Goals in the New Year

  I am excited to have More Goals in the New Year funded! Our students enjoy going out to PE, and one of the thing they love to do is play soccer. Having brand new soccer balls with storage bags is perfect! The balls are easy to carry out to PE, and the students enjoy being active and playin game. It is a win-win for everyone.

  The Mad Libs have been fun to fill in. Students enjoy reading the final product, and usually end up laughing together because they are so silly.
