  • Fuel for Thought: Snacks for Success II

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

Thanks to your kindness, my classroom is now a place where hunger no longer stands in the way of learning. Your generosity has provided my third graders with the snacks they need to stay focused, energized, and ready to take on each school day with enthusiasm. The first time they saw our new snack supply, their faces lit up with pure joy! One student excitedly exclaimed, "Now we won't have to feel hungry when we're trying to think!" These simple snacks have made a world of difference—helping students stay engaged, participate more, and enjoy their learning time without the distraction of an empty stomach.

With full bellies and happy hearts, my students are tackling new challenges in reading, math, and hands-on learning activities. The confidence and energy they gain from having their basic needs met are truly priceless. As we continue our journey through the school year, I know that these snacks will continue to fuel not just their bodies but their love for learning. Thank you for being a part of our classroom in such a meaningful way—you have made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for you!

    With heartfelt appreciation,”

  • Flathead Fun: Learning Our Land Through Art!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Many of you love to read, and while we do too, the books you've helped bring into our classroom are a little different—they're hands-on activity books all about our reservation! These books give my students the chance to learn about their land, history, and culture in an interactive way. Instead of just reading about these topics, they get to engage with them through drawing, puzzles, and creative exercises that make learning personal and meaningful.

In our classroom, these books have become a favorite part of the day. Students eagerly flip through the pages, excited to complete activities that connect them to their surroundings. They've traced the paths of local rivers, sketched animals they see in their daily lives, and explored traditions that have been passed down for generations. One student, who usually prefers hands-on work over reading, has especially embraced these books—he now takes his time with each page, excited to learn and create in a way that feels natural to him.

Because of you, my students are learning about their home in a way that is engaging, creative, and fun. Thank you for making this possible and for giving them a deeper appreciation of where they come from!”

    With gratitude,

  • Brisk and Bright: Our Classroom's Delight!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thanks to your generosity, my students now have access to Brisk Teacher, an incredible tool that is transforming the way we learn and interact each day. Many of you use technology at home, but you might not realize just how impactful it can be in a busy classroom like mine. Brisk Teacher helps us stay organized, streamline transitions, and maximize learning time, allowing me to focus more on engaging with my students rather than managing logistics.

What excites my students the most is how interactive and responsive Brisk Teacher is. They love how it provides instant feedback, helps track progress, and even gives reminders that keep us on task. It feels like having a smart assistant in the room, one that helps them take ownership of their learning in a way that's both fun and effective.

One student, who often struggled with staying focused, has especially warmed to this new system. With Brisk Teacher's structured prompts and clear guidance, he's more engaged and confident, completing tasks with a sense of accomplishment that wasn't there before. Seeing him thrive has been a reminder of just how valuable this technology is in supporting all learners.

Your support has made our classroom a more efficient, engaging, and dynamic place to learn. Thank you for believing in us and for bringing innovation into our school!”

  • Safe and Snug: Help "Shade" Our Classroom!

    Funded Sep 10, 2024

Here's a response for your donors:

Thank you so much for your support in funding our Light Filtering Cellular Shades! These shades have already made a world of difference in our classroom. With them, we can clearly see our Promethean board during lessons without struggling with screen glare, which was previously an issue. Now, I can also see my computer screen easily and don't have to cover the windows with unsightly black butcher paper. It's wonderful to have a cleaner, more welcoming space.

When the students saw the shades, they were thrilled! They commented on how much brighter and neater our room looks now, and they're excited to see our materials more clearly on the board. One specific moment that stands out is when we used the board to explore visual math concepts—thanks to the shades, everyone could see the details without straining.

Moving forward, our next steps include using the Promethean board for interactive projects and lessons across subjects. With better visibility, students can engage in more group work, exploring lessons that require focused visuals, like math diagrams, reading comprehension activities, and even art projects.

Thank you again for giving us a classroom we can all feel proud of!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moll

  • Math and Literacy in Motion: Interactive Learning Tools

    Funded Aug 23, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous support! My students were thrilled when they first saw the new wobble seats and magic drawing boards. The wobble seats are a hit—they let the kids move while staying focused, which has been great for active learners. And the drawing boards have truly added excitement to our math lessons. Students eagerly use them for quick show-and-share math problems, practicing skills in a fun, hands-on way, and even creating visual representations of simple algebraic equations to strengthen their understanding.

Recently, we had a special guest come in to read to the class, which added an extra layer of excitement to our day! You can see in the photos that the students used the wobble seats and magic boards during our math and reading time—these new tools are helping them stay engaged and eager to participate.

Looking ahead, our next steps include using the drawing boards for projects where students solve and explain math problems in pairs. They'll continue to explore visual representations, such as drawing parts of algebraic equations, which allows them to break down and discuss mathematical ideas.

Thank you for bringing so much joy and support into our classroom!”

  • Sparkle and Motivate: Elevate Learning with Our Prize Box!

    Funded May 14, 2024

Thank you so much for helping keep our Prize Box fully stocked! The excitement in the classroom was contagious when my students first saw the new rewards. From Takis to scented erasers, each item brought smiles and enthusiasm, instantly motivating them to work harder and make positive choices. The Prize Box has become a vital part of our daily routine, encouraging students to stay engaged and push themselves to reach their goals.

One memorable moment came when a student who had been struggling with reading earned a prize for completing a challenging book. The reward made her feel proud and confident, and since then, she's been eagerly picking up new books. The next step for us is to continue building this momentum, using the Prize Box to celebrate both academic and behavioral achievements, sparking even more curiosity and success in the classroom.

Thank you again for your incredible support!”

  • Knitting Kindness: Extra Yarn For Every Young Heart Books

    Funded Apr 14, 2024

Thank you so much for bringing "Extra Yarn" to our classroom! This delightful story has been more than just a book—it's become a tool for teaching important lessons about kindness, generosity, and creativity. By reading and discussing Annabelle's adventures, my students have learned how even the smallest acts of kindness can have a ripple effect, brightening the world around them.

In our classroom, reading is an interactive experience. Each student received their own copy of "Extra Yarn," and we've been diving deep into the themes of giving and imagination. The story has inspired thoughtful discussions and creative projects, where students have written about their own ways to spread kindness. One student, in particular, has taken this to heart by knitting scarves for her classmates, inspired by Annabelle's endless yarn. It's been wonderful to see how this story has sparked both creativity and compassion.

Thank you for helping us knit love and kindness into our learning!”

  • Frac-Tastic Adventures: Exploring Math with Tiles!

    Funded Apr 29, 2024

I cannot thank you enough for your support in bringing fraction tiles to my classroom! The excitement on my students' faces when they first saw these colorful tiles was absolutely priceless. It was like unwrapping a new toy, and they couldn't wait to dive in. The fraction tiles have truly transformed how we approach fractions in math. Instead of just looking at numbers on a page, my students now get to physically manipulate the tiles, seeing firsthand how fractions fit together, compare, and add up.

One memorable moment was when a group of students were comparing fractions and eagerly debated which combinations made a whole. Watching them work together, placing the tiles side by side, and suddenly shouting, "It fits!" was such a rewarding experience. These hands-on tools have made abstract concepts much clearer for them, and I've noticed a real boost in their confidence with fractions. Moving forward, we'll continue using the tiles to explore more complex fraction problems, and I know the foundation you've helped us build will make all the difference in their math journey.

Thank you again for supporting our hands-on math adventures!”

  • The Building Blocks of Learning: A Project for Classroom Essentials

    Funded Mar 15, 2024

I wanted o express my deepest gratitude for your generous contributions to our classroom through the DonorsChoose project, "The Building Blocks of Learning: A Project for Classroom Essentials." Thanks to your support, our students received an array of wonderful supplies, including index cards, a pocket chart for parking pencils, rulers specifically designed for fractions, scented glue sticks, twistable crayons, and dry erase markers. These items have significantly enriched our learning environment and enhanced the students' educational experience. Although the photos may not capture the full extent of your contributions, please know that each item has made a substantial impact on our daily activities.

The students have particularly enjoyed creating "mini me" drawings with the twistable crayons, an activity that sparked their creativity and brought a lot of joy to the classroom. However, the absolute favorite among them has been the scented glue sticks. You would think they were receiving a treasure, but it was simply the delightful scent that made these glue sticks so special. Additionally, the fraction rulers have been incredibly effective in teaching our lessons on fractions, providing a clear and tangible way to understand and visualize the concept of 1/4. Your support has not only provided us with essential tools but has also brought excitement and ease into our learning process. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and commitment to our education.”
