  • New Computer Lab in Need of Hardcopy Read Aloud Books

    The second the books arrived and placed into our new reading corner my students were excited and couldn't wait to use them. Now during free time they choose to hang out with the books instead of choosing free play on the laptops. They sit or lay with a book, some pair read or even read aloud to others. A few of my students ask to borrow books to read at home. My reading corner is the best part of my classroom now. Thank you for helping me make a difference in my students lives. If it wasn't for special and caring people like you this would not happened.”

    We are very thankful that you was able to help us get new headphones and other items that we can use in our media classroom. Now the students will be able to focus and be more productive on their online testing and learning. The glue and other classroom materials will help with the younger students create artwork connected to technology and reading. Lastly, the memory card reader will help us retrieve photos and video from different devices to create awesome PowerPoint presentations, fliers and other fun activities.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and 2 other donors.
Students will be using the computer lab to practice and evolve their math and reading skills by using the online program i-Ready. They will also take their online exams that will automatically provides individualized online and teacher-led instruction targeted to each student's unique needs. In which it will empowered to reach their highest potential and to develop the essential academic and life skills needed for achieving success in the 21st Century. They will also be apart of a new Computer Science Program, "CSforALL" which we will be implementing this school year in different areas. The goal is to incorporate coding and different programs to expand their creativity and imagination. Our school believes in preparing our students for college and career through learning opportunities and authentic tasks that require students to take ownership of, and monitor, their own learning as we foster greater independence.
