Thank you again for your help in getting our program the valuable materials to help teach Tractor Driving Safety! The safety cones have come in handy for multiple other projects as well. I have now made a kit with the materials so we should always have what we need for this event without having to hunt. As a district, our goal is get kids more involved in tractor driving and safety in order to get more educated students employed by our local farmers. Your generous donation is helping us to do just that!
Thank you and we hope to continue to grow this event in the years to come thanks to you!”
Thank you once again for your generous donation towards the garden project! It has been a learning curve to see how they work trying to grow veggies inside of the school, but the students seem to be engaged and really learning from the project. We have had to replant due to some watering issues, but the students learn from challenges as well.
The hope is that we are able to harvest something from these towers before the end of the semester. Fingers crossed the radishes take!
Thank you again for helping my classroom and allowing me to bring this project to life!”

Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of a new machine to make binding notebooks so much easier! Having a couple students help me this summer, we were able to make notebooks for all my students before school started. Having all their material for the whole class saves us so much time of not handing out papers or having to look for papers that might get lost. This new machine makes it so much easier punching holes and getting the spirals on. It means so much to us that we can spend more time learning, instead of doing the little things that use up time in the end. The Lost River FFA Chapter and Agricultural Program have been around for over 50 years. Even though we are deep in years, our program is still in a rebuilding mode. We can't thank you enough for helping us make the Lost River program the best that it can be!”

Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of a new scientific incubator for cultures and other activities. Not only will the agriculture benefit from this piece of equipment, but the science department will too! I'm really excited that I won't have to use my chicken egg incubator for our bacteria cultures anymore.

Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of a new egg incubator! I personally am so excited to use this incubator, mainly to see how much better our results are incubating the eggs. This unit does SOOOO much better at turning the eggs and keeping the temperature and humidity consistent throughout the whole incubation. I'm excited to share photos of the students with their chicks as soon as they hatch!

Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of some maintenance necessities for our new cutting table. Having been on maternity leave the last couple months and having just received the table when school started, we weren't able to get it fully up and running until just recently. I'm so excited to get to use it with the students when they return. Plus, now we have these maintenance items to show them from the start how we need to maintain our table to keep it like new for years to come. It means so much to us that we can spend our program dollars on materials and consumables and have plenty of these necessities to keep our new machine in tip top shape for our students to use when they get to come back in person. Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of more basic necessities. We simply don't have enough quality basic tools for students to use when there are numerous projects going on at once in our shops. The students have already started to put these to good use as we were just starting to do some projects just before students had to go to full online learning. It means so much to us that we can spend our program dollars on other necessities and have plenty of the basics for our students to use to finish their projects when they get to come back in person. Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of a new portable white board and camera for distance learning. Having been on maternity leave the past couple months and being lucky enough to have students in person for most of that, we luckily haven't had to use this equipment as much as we thought we would. However, starting back next week it will be getting good use as the students are on full comprehensive distance learning for at least another week. Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of much needed basic supplies to make this extra crazy time that much easier.
With allowing every student to use their own set of supplies, it reduces contamination and then allows me the time to properly sanitize everything after the students are gone. These supplies have come in so handy already with putting together some take home kits as well! The Lost River FFA Chapter and Agricultural Program have been around for almost 50 years. Thank you so much for supporting the Lost River Agricultural Science Program with the purchase of new kitchen supplies. I am so excited to have students back in the building after the first of the year and to be able to make homemade hand pies with local ingredients, homemade pizza, homemade ranch dressing with student grown herbs and numerous other items for the various fundraisers and events that we are asked to help with. Agricultural education is delivered through three interconnected components: classroom or laboratory instruction, experiential learning (usually take place outside of the classroom, supervised by the agriculture instructor), and leadership education (delivered through a student organization called the National FFA Organization). FFA is a dynamic youth organization within agricultural education that changes lives and prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
In order for students to participate they must dress officially, but many students cannot afford to purchase the attire themselves. This project will fill our 'check out' closet with all the necessary items for FFA Offical Dress! FFA Official Dress consists of the an Official Jacket (purchased from the National FFA), an official FFA tie or scarf, a white button up shirt, either black slacks or a black skirt, black socks or nylons, and black dress shoes.
For each student to purchase the entire uniform on their own, they usually will spend well over $100. Many students and parents cannot afford this type of purchase, which definitely limits a students ability to be successful in our FFA organization. Our FFA chapter wants to help bridge the economic gap and help encourage more students to participate without limitations.
