Help Keep Our Classroom Fresh and Clean!
Funded Oct 8, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation that helped to buy Clorox Wipes and a vacuum. I know the vacuum will help our new rug stay nice and clean. My students were so excited this morning when the vacuum arrived. I am going to show them how to use it so that they can have ownership over our classroom. I feel that these are important life skills to learn in addition to reading, writing and arithmetic.
We appreciate your generosity and continued support of our class. My students are very lucky to have such wonderful people helping to make their school experience extra special!”

Flexing Our Brains in Flexible Seating
Funded Sep 24, 2018Thank you so much for the beautiful rug and the very comfy flexible seats.
Your donations were delivered yesterday right as I was picking my class up from lunch and we all started cheering for the delivery man. Shortly after the delivery the items were brought to my room and we unpacked them and set them up, it was like Christmas morning! My students just kept remarking on how beautiful the rug was and how comfy the seats were.
The rug and the seats make such a difference in my room because it looks so much more inviting now. I can tell my students are really going to love using these items and love coming to school that much more because of how cozy our classroom has become.
I cannot thank you enough for your generosity!”

Real World Problem Solving!
Funded Dec 20, 2017Thank you so much for contributing to my Donor's Choose project. My students and I are using these kits as part of our Project Based Learning period. The class has been divided up into three differentiated groups and each group was given a specific box based on their reading and writing levels.
My students eyes lit up when they saw the shiny new boxes of materials. They were so excited to get get to work with the materials. Each box set contains a gorgeous set of books and project cards that they students absolutely love using.
Our next steps will be to read and explore the books within each box. Students will then work within their groups to solve a real world problem. Finally students will choose how they will present their findings( ie. multi media presentation, news article or poster). In the next few weeks students will then give their presentations to the rest of the class and possibly to other classes within our school.”

Help Lessons Come Alive With Technology!
Funded Oct 3, 2015I just wanted to sincerely thank you for funding our first project for the document camera. This piece of technology has made such an incredible impact on the the way in which I teach and connect with my students in many ways.
I use the document reader each and everyday in my classroom. It is such an invaluable tool in every subject. I am able to underline important words in a book and project onto the board so that every student can see it. We have also used it a great deal in math especially for difficult word problems.
My students enjoy using it for class presentations and have gone home to tell their parents about this wonderful tool. Many of the parents have also asked to see our document camera in action because their child is so excited about it.
This could not have been possible without your generous donations.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. McEnroe
