  • Continents, Oceans, Landforms, and World Cultures...Oh My!

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us to get these social studies centers. We use these during social studies periods for the students to explore different aspects of social studies in a group setting. They love using them because it allows them to work together and learn from each other.

When we first received the materials, my students were so excited! They had seen centers for math and reading but never social studies. This really helped with engagement. These centers really help to bring concepts alive in a more tangible way.

    We cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McEnroe

  • Quiet please, students listening and learning!

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us to get these much needed headphones. My students were so excited to receive the headphones as many were not able to buy their own. These headphones help my students to use listening centers in a quiet manner, It allows students to work with self paced computer programs without others hearing what level they are on.

Also, the headphones have a direct impact on small group work as they are able to work without the sound of computers in the background. I am able to work with students and quietly instruct them without interruption.”

  • Shiny and New Chromebooks to Ring in 2023!

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

Thank you so much for this incredible donation! My students were so very excited when these packages arrived. These new Chrome books will enable every student in my class to have a 1:1 device. Many of the school issued chrome books are damaged and broken from over use especially during COVID and remote times. These new Chromebooks ensure that every student has access to technology.

One of the most exciting aspects of these chrome books is that they are touch screen and students are able to enlarge the screen with a simple touch. This helps students zero in on a word or perhaps a text feature to get a closer look.

The charging dock also helps to keep the wires nice, neat and accessible to ensure that the Chromebooks are always charged and ready.”

  • Math Centers and More!

    Funded Feb 24, 2023

We cannot thank you enough for helping us to get these materials. My students were so excited when we unwrapped the boxes!

We were able to use the materials right away with our fractions lessons. We were able to use them to order fractions from least to greatest and greatest to least. Then we used them to create equivalent fractions. The stax helped us to visualize the fractions and how they were equal. We also used them to show equivalent wholes.

We then used the math boxes in conjunction with the stax as we were learning to create whole numbers.

My class and I cannot thank you enough. Having these manipulatives helped to bring fractions to life!”

  • Ink Needed to Help Us Keep Going

    Funded Jan 28, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us to get this much needed ink. We were able to create our 100th day of school projects because the ink came just in time.

The ink also helped up to create our pizza fractions project. In this project, we create paper pizzas and our bulletin board is transformed into our own pizzeria! This project really helps to bring fractions alive within our class.

The ink also helped us to print out the graphic organizers needed for our persuasive writing project. This persuasive writing will eventually become speeches on issues facing our school and community.

As you can see, the donation of this ink is far reaching in our classroom! Thank you so much.”

  • Reading can be Fun!

    Funded Jan 28, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations which allowed our class to receive these books. My students absolutely love the new titles that we have added to our library. I made sure to order more than one of most of the books so students are able to huddle together and read which they absolutely LOVE doing. Students are able to choral read or create their own book clubs.

These books have allowed many topics to come alive including the Titanic, the Statue of Liberty. In addition, the high interest books have really created interest in reading for my lowest readers.

We cannot thank you enough for helping some of my most resistant readers fall in love with books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McEnroe

  • Materials Needed for Reading Intervention

    Funded Dec 11, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us to obtain these reading intervention materials. My class and I absolutely love working with these. The task cards allow for students on three different levels to use them. I love that students can complete the cards and check their progress. I can move around and check student progress instead of being tied to one group.

We also love that they are dry erase and reusable. The quickie non fiction cards are awesome. They are high interest and able to be done even if we just need a quick activity.”

  • Help Us Keep Our Resources Neat and Tidy!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us to get these much need resources. The colored dividers for our binders help to keep our binders neat and organized. We are able to section off materials for math, reading, writing and social studies. The colors correspond to our notebooks so that is helpful to us as well.

Also, we love the sheet protectors. We use these daily to help protect our personal anchor charts from getting damaged. These are invaluable in our classroom. We are so glad that we don't have to keep printing new anchor charts for each and every lesson.”

  • Living Life in Living Color!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us to get our beautiful color printer! We use our printer for everything in our classroom. One of the great things about the printer is being able to print student materials into color. Student reference guides have much more meaning in color than in black white.

I also like printing student work in color. Students can use different fonts and colors to express themselves and they are so happy to see if come to life in real live print.

We cannot thank you enough for helping us to get this printer. This has made such a difference in our classroom.”

  • Home Sweet Classroom!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thanks you so much for helping us to add comfy flexible seating into our classroom. I had a vision of adding several areas in our classroom where children could work without sitting at a desk. My students absolutely LOVE these seating options.

We can have groups reading or working at the library , the front of the room and along the sides of the room. I love that they have options and choice. I know that my students feel comfortable and love coming into school everyday.

Thank you so much for helping us to get our flexible seating.”
