• New Year, New Easel

  Thank you so much for helping us to get this beautiful new easel!

  Our classroom is working more efficiently thanks to this easel. Since it has two sides I can post work for a group (or whole class) and then work with a small group using the other side. Students are able to use it for things like phonics which uses magnetic tile letters. The students can easily build words on either side of the easel because it is magnetic. The storage capacity on the bottom is also such a great way to store dry erase markers and other items I need for executing lessons.

• Color Makes the Classroom Go 'Round!

  Thank you so much for helping us to get our colored ink cartridges.

  This will make such an impact as I have many ENL students and they rely on words and colored pictures. This will help students with anchor charts, sentence stems and math talk bubbles.

  My students also like to print out their projects and these color cartridges were desperately needed. They will be so elated to know that we can print again as we have been out of ink for a while.

• Key to My Art!

  We were thrilled when this project was funded! Unfortunately, due to schedule constraints, my students do not get art this year.

  My students have used the art supplies including water color paints, brushes and markers for a few projects now. We created a paintings to go with our writing projects including an animal research project. The paints and water color paper really enhanced the students' projects.

  I am also planning a few more projects before the year closes and I plan to use the supplies again. I am so glad that my students could have a creative outlet with these supplies.”

• Basic Essentials Classroom Refresh Needed!

  Thank you so much for helping us to get classroom essentials! My students were very excited to receive the dry erase erasers that also were magnetic. We use our dry erase boards many times a day and we were in desperate need of new erasers to replace lost or broken ones.

  The smelly stickers have been a HUGE incentive for behavior and for turning in excellent work. These were a big hit with my students.

  We are also grateful for the pencils. We got through many pencils each day and to be able to have a new stash was a huge help as many students come unprepared each day.

  Finally the paper was much needed. We had run out and didn't know what to do.”

• Privacy Please!

  Thank you so much for helping us get our privacy partitions. These partitions were so needed. My class was so excited when they saw the partitions!

  My students used to have to balance folders, books etc. when talking an assessment. The partitions fit neatly around their desks and also block sound if they are on a device. The partitions are made of heavy card board and really sturdy so these will last us the whole year (and hopefully for future classes to come). My students feel much more confident when taking an assessment now!

• Math Manipulatives to Help Us Count!

  Thank you so much for helping us to get much need math manipulatives. My students were so excited when they saw all of the resources we received. They kept asking "is this ALL for us?".

  Two of their favorite things that they use daily are the wipe off hundreds chart and the number lines/place value grid. My students absolutely love these two items and keep them handy during every single math lesson. We also love the double sided counters. We were running extremely low on counters and these came at a great time!

• Breakfast Fuels the Day!

  Thank you so much for helping us to get much needed breakfast snacks and items for my students. Many times students come late and cannot get breakfast or are embarrassed to leave the room and go to the cafeteria. Also, students may not like the breakfast being served that day and go hungry until our late lunch at 12:45.

  I am so happy that I am able to have boxes of breakfast items on hand for students. My students were so excited that we have snacks on hand and have a great variety to choose from.

• Keeping Our Rug Fresh and Clean!

  Thank you so much for helping my class and I to get this beautiful vacuum for our classroom. My students were over the moon excited when they first saw the vacuum!

  Our rug is now fresh and clean and the students are so happy to be able to sit on a clean rug. I am working to teach a few students at a time how to use the vacuum so that they can take ownership of helping to keep the rug clean as well. The students are very excited about this.

  We have also been able to use the vacuum to clean our flexible seating chairs which was an added bonus.

• Second Grade...READY!

  Thank you so much for helping us to get "Second Grade" ready!! I was so happy to be able to give each child a copy of "Second Grade Ready" to take home and enjoy with their families. The students were so incredibly thankful and excited.

  It also helped a great deal to have a supply of pencils to give to the students. Many students come without pencils each day and I am so happy to be able to have a supply to give.

  My students also enjoy the large pouches to hold supplies and they are large enough for library books and large picture books which is such a bonus.”

• Meet Me At Our Cozy Rug!

  Funded Sep 20, 2023

  Thank you so much for helping us to get this gorgeous cozy rug! My students squealed with delight this morning when they came into our classroom when they saw it. They were so surprised and kept saying "it's so beautiful" and "is this for us?". This was such a nice surprise for my students and we used it right away for reading. We also used it again for small group work and partner activities. I cannot tell you how much of a difference this has made in my classroom in one day. We cannot thank you enough for helping us to get this much needed asset to our room.”
