Students at our school have been very blessed to have the opportunity to use Chromebooks to aid their learning. We are so excited to use these tools to run programs both for Literacy and Mathematics instruction, review, and practice. We have programs that are catered to the students' individual needs that allows them to go at their unique speed, and to focus on their learning targets. Each student is working on something unique at a given time; this makes it hard to concentrate with all that's going on. I hope that with headphones this we can minimize the distractions that arise from having so much noise in the room coming from the other students' computers. By giving students headphones, they can more acutely focus on their work, and ultimately make further progress than possible without them.
