• Creativity to Spread Positivity

  Funded May 3, 2022

  My students we extremely excited to have this project funded! Our first project was to spread positivity to one of our fourth grade teachers. Our students designed some labels and clouds in the Cricut Makers Space. The machine cut out all of the letters and clouds on vinyl that was purchased with this project. Then they used the circut tools that were also part of this project to weed out the vinyl. Finally they put everything on a rainbow wooden sign. The teacher was so taken back by my student's positive gesture that cried tears of joy!

  Seeing my students feel so positive about their project was priceless! I know that teaching them how to use this machine will help them gain a skill that they can use in the world.

• Bon Voyage Elementary School!

  My students were completely surprised by this gift! The 2 months of planning this entire project was so worth it! The look of satisfaction and awe in their faces was priceless. As they opened their baskets and looked at each individual item their faces become more joyful! They were so happy to take this token of appreciation home as they finalized their very last year in elementary school.

  As we all know the transition from grade school to middle school can be hard on many students. This project offered some support in the transitional months as the next school year approaches. One particular item, the water bottle, will be something they can carry with them next school year as a reminder of how loved, appreciated, and how important they are to me.

  This gift summed up the important connections we made throughout this school year. It was with your support that I was able to make this project a realization. I look forward to implementing this new tradition of a transitional gift with my future fifth graders!”

• Mutlitaskers Multitasking Reading, Math, and Science All in One!

  My students were so excited to use this laptop! They use it to turn in assignments in Google Classroom. Other students use it to research information for ongoing projects. They were so elated to access their reading apps where they can read books and take tests about the books they read to earn AR points. One student is particular really looks forward to using the laptop because this is his reward at the end of the day. Having this device available to my class has boosted my student's morale!
