• Listening Will Help Us Learn English!

  Thank you so much for choosing to fund my project! You are really making a positive difference in my student's lives. Your generosity has provided hours of reading enjoyment at home for my students. Now students who previously were not reading our weekly stories (because no one could read them at home) are also joining in and coming prepared to discuss the stories the next day. There are no more reading excuses in our classroom and every student is proud to acknowledge that they have read the stories they were supposed to read. Now I have students in summer school who are also going to take books home with Cd's to listen to at home, as you can see these CD's are providing hours and hours of educational value. Thank you for believing in our proposal!”

• ELL First Grade Students Need Books On CD

  Thank you so much for your donations! The children are so excited about reading their new books! Also, I have been reading them out loud to them during story time. They are also taking them home to read and this is great because some of my students do not have any books at home and now they get to take brand new books home! We love these books in first grade, especially Mice and Beans, which is very funny and cute! I especially like these books because they are multicultural books that strengthen my students' identities and make them feel proud about their culture. It is very important for my students to feel proud because this will help them succeed in school.
