  • Comfy Safe Cots

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

My students and I really appreciate your donations for our classroom project "comfy safe cots''. It has been a game changer using the cots instead of our old mats. Setting up the classroom for nap time is easier now, even the students can help me out. The cots are lightweight and they are easy to carry and move. These special cots allow students to sleep comfortably off the ground. Two of the great features of these cots are that they are made of an easy cleaned material, and they are stackable.

Thank you again for your generosity. You help me to create a safe classroom for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Rolon

  • iPads for K1

    Funded Oct 6, 2017

Our ABC learning center is serving students better since we have introduced the iPads you provided. Students love practicing tracing letters using the program "Writing without Tears". This has helped students with their development of fine motor skills.

The iPads has helped students learn letters sounds by using the interactive program of "Lively Letters". Using this program with the iPads has helped me to tailor lessons to improve outcomes for all students.

In addition, the iPads have become an essential tool for documenting students's work. Students are learning how to take pictures and videos to record their own work during learning center activities.

We are very grateful for your generosity. These two new iPads have

improved student learning in our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Rolon

My PreK students need two iPad 4th Generation and two heavy duty covers for these iPads in order to work in a literacy center. They will be able to use these tablets throughout the day in reading, and writing! In this Literacy Center, my students will use these iPads to learn how to form letters, using the Hand Writing Without Tears program. In this center, students will also use these iPads to listen to Spanish stories. They will learn how to cooperate with each other, as they share the iPads. My ultimate goal is to have a class set of iPads to incorporate in other areas in the curriculum.
