Costumes Galore!
Funded Nov 4, 2021Wow! This project is so much fun! We are working on our Christmas concerts and we now have so many great costumes! The students all got so excited when they saw the new costumes. 2nd and 3rd grade all get to wear an elf hat and they love them!
With these materials, I made 2 tutus for 4th grade ballerinas to wear, and shirts for our 8 4th grade reindeer. It is so much fun to see my students get into character, and the costumes really are the finishing touches.
Thank you for supporting our classroom and helping our holiday concert to be magical!”

Sanitary Music Room!
Funded Sep 24, 2021Thank you so much for funding this project! These materials were necessary to help make our music room safe and sanitary. It was so nice to not have to buy out of pocket!
The students love to play instruments, and having products to clean the instruments after we play allows us to play instruments whenever we want! Early kindergarten is working with shakers, rain sticks, cabasas, and thunder tubes to create an indoor rainstorm! Kindergarten is exploring the different unpitched percussion, and first through fourth grade are learning mallet instruments!
Thank you for all that you do!”

Music Classroom Library!
Funded Aug 12, 2021This project is amazing! I love having books in the music room to incorporate reading in music class. The books are beautiful and my students love them!
Some of the books help my younger students learn about opposites, such as high and low, or soft and loud. These concepts translate to music in pitch and dynamics. It is wonderful to be able to do more than just explain something to my students. When we read a book about something, it becomes more concrete.
We read most books as a class, but I plan to do a few station days where I have a library station. Students will get to choose a book and read it while sitting in a cozy chair or on a pillow.”

Funded Jul 29, 2021From this project, I have been able to afford things I find on Teachers Pay Teachers, a website where teachers sell their own digital material.
Being able to purchase what I need when I need it without having to use my own money has been so incredibly helpful. Last week, I realized I did not have any rhythm flash cards. I was able to go on Teachers Pay Teachers, choose which material I thought was best for my needs, and buy it! I have used those flash cards nearly every day.
I am so grateful I am able to afford materials that help my students to learn better.”

Music Superstars!
Funded Jul 14, 2021This project helped my students so much! Having a reward system in music makes my students own their behavior and want to learn. The prizes are extremely loved and every kid wants to win Music Superstar!
The treasure chest is full of small prizes and everyone is so excited to get to pick one.
Some other supplies in this project were used to create the whole-class reward point system. A class earns a certain number of points depending on how well they followed the rules. My students love to see where their class is on the chart!”

Funded Jul 8, 2021The materials from this project are more than amazing! The games are all so much fun and the students love playing them. Being able to bring musical concepts into fun card and board games helps my students to be more engaged while they learn.
I have used the games as rewards for my classes as well as ways of boosting student learning on certain concepts.
One of my students' favorite games is Treble Clef Uno, which allows my students to practice reading notes on the treble clef staff while playing a fun card game.
Thank you so much for your help in making music more fun!”
