  • A Healthy Environment Needs an Apple a Day!

    Funded Oct 9, 2021

Thank you for supporting my classroom. It is through your support that my class was able to improve the quality of life in the classroom. The snacks provided the students the extra energy needed to get through the busy school day. In additional, the reusable water bottles were an amazing replacement to the plastic water bottles. The students feel good about using the reusable bottles and know they are helping the environment. Another fantastic addition to the class is our new computer! It is great to have current and dependable technology at our finger tips.

I truly appreciate your gift to my classroom. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lukenich

  • Tech Accessories That Are Necessities

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for making our project "Tech Accessories that are Necessities" fully funded! It is your true generosity and love for Donors Choose that has allowed my class to benefit tremendously through your donations.

The headphones are a huge hit! Students can use their device and interact with their classmates on various interactive games quietly. Using the headphones is a real treat for them and they have so much fun. The ink cartridges have made my life so much easier. It is a nice to know I have the opportunity to print in my classroom.

My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

  • Let’s Go Back to School!

    Funded Aug 4, 2021

Thank you so much for your support and generosity. It is only through your commitment with donors choose that my class can obtain such amazing things. My students and I are truly grateful. The items that I received through your generosity to fund this project helped to keep us productive and prepared in our classroom.

Having the supplies needed for in-person learning is such a necessity. I know that each and every child in my class will have the supplies they need to have a successful year at school. Not only are the students prepared for each day, I am as well. Having chart paper, markers, supply bags and so much more helps so much!

With your generous donations, I was able to provide supplies for every student in the classroom. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

  • The Gateway to the World Through Technology...

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

Thank you so much for the generous donations that allowed us to get our amazing new computers and printer for our classroom!! The computers are being used and enjoyed by all!!! The only problem we are having is the impatient children who are waiting their turn to use them. It is wonderful to be able to see the students exploring the worldwide web and becoming more and more savvy on the computer. Their excitement to use the computers is seen and felt whenever they are using them.

Thank you again for your donations we appreciate it so much!”

  • Building Our Love for Reading in Fourth Grade!

    Funded May 1, 2019

Thank you so much for the donation!! It was so exciting to put all the brand new books into our class library. The students couldn't wait to get their hands on them and read.

The books have definitely sparked a ton of interest from my own children in my class and from many other children in different classrooms. The students look forward to reading time and are actually reading! It brings me such joy to hear them talk to one another about the books and share what they liked and found funny or interesting.

I truly appreciate your generosity. Thank you for the fantastic, wonderful, exciting, mysterious and suspenseful books! You helped capture their imaginations with books.”

  • Tech-it, Tech-it, OOOUT!

    Funded Oct 9, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation! Your very generous donation has brought excitement back into learning! Our new Chromebooks are amazing, amazing, AMAZING! The children absolutely love using them. First of all, the Chromebooks are so easy to use. When we first received them I trained a small group of children on the basics of the Chromebook and they turned keyed the instruction to the class. I have noticed a tremendous improvement with their comfort level working with the computers. It is fun to see how excited they get when they learn something new from the computer and desperately want to share their new findings with the class. The students especially like the touchscreen Chromebooks.

We are currently using the Chromebooks to research colonial jobs. The children are becoming very savvy with their research skills. We also use the Chromebooks to help our new student learn how to speak English. Another way we are using these awesome computers is through math games. 4th graders need to know their multiplication tables and many don't take the time to study, so we have a multiplication game they LOVE test them. It has been very successful and fun.

Thank you again for your very generous donation. Your gift has given so much to so many children that have so little.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lukenich

  • Pupils Project: Making the World Clear Again

    Funded Feb 14, 2017

THANK YOU! Without you this project would never of happened and would never of made the impact on the students like this project did. I have completed other donor choose projects, but none of them have made this much of a difference like this project. I wear glasses and know first hand how important it is to have glasses. Especially, glasses with the correct prescription. With your donations we were able to provide glasses for 28 students!

Vision day was scheduled and all the students were notified of Dr. Maxon's visit. The students were so excited. Vision day was a HUGE success. The students were so shy at first, but that changed quickly when they were able to try on a bunch of glasses and finally pick their favorite frames. The smiles were priceless.

When the glasses finally arrived I could barely contain my excitement. Dr. Maxon returned and met with each student to fit the glasses. The students were so thrilled. One student said, "Oh my gosh everything is so clear!" after putting on her new glasses. It was a wonderful day and I owe it all to your generous donations. Without you this could not of happened and I am so very grateful. Thank you for making the world clear again for so many children at my school.”

We are an inner city Title 1 school. The majority of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students depend on the classroom library for their independent reading books. Our school funding is at an all time low this year. Adding new books to the classroom library, sadly enough is not a priority. It is imperative to use books as a motivational tool for my students. They need that challenge. By having this classroom library, my students will look forward to their reading time. Instead of being bored by uninteresting books, they will be inspired to read the whole list of books.
