Fine Motor Practice for Learning
Funded Sep 23, 2022When the first box arrived, my students couldn't contain their excitement as we opened each one to see what was inside. They squealed over the counting items I pulled out. They were excited to use the sand to explore letters and build. Each day brought some new item to explore.
We spent time discussing the importance of taking care of each item so that future students would have the opportunity to enjoy the items also. They shared ideas for what they would need to do to be able to use the items correctly in the classroom. We have spent several Fridays using the items. They think they are playing, but little do they know that they are learning at the same time. I am excited to continue using the items this year and in the years to come.”

Funded Jan 19, 2022Thank you for donating to our project. The students were so excited when I opened the different boxes containing each of the various seating choices. The students have loved having a choice in where they sit. Several options have allowed them to move and remain focused on their work. The students have learned the proper way to use each seat to get the most benefit from it. They have learned how to properly care for the seat so that they may continue to use them. This has taught them how to concentrate on what is most important. This has been a great addition to my classroom, and it will continue to bless future classes.”

Funded Aug 1, 2019My students were so excited for all of these materials to use at recess. I love how they are using the materials to team build, work together and find new and creative things to do. They were so excited to pull out the skip ropes. It is fun to watch them attempt to do them. They are making slow improvements in learning how to move their leg and jump at the same time. The river rocks they have use to play to jump from place to place. Some students figured out that they can pick up and pass the last one along to each of the students in the line to make it all the way across the yard. The ring toss has been fun as they see how far back the can get and still make it. You are watching as their understanding of distance and how hard they need to throw it is happening. The bean bags have been fun to toss around as they are learning beginning sounds and putting those sounds to letters. We so appreciate your generosity and hope that you continue to support teachers and students.”

Listen Learn
Funded Oct 31, 2018Thank you for your kindness and willingness to give towards listening and learn in our classroom. With the headphones that were donated, we have been able to tap into further learning with the use of individual learning to differentiate amongst our students. We have also been able to utilize the Internet to participate in Imagine Learning, a program that is required for the students to spend 45 minutes on a week. While we have computers at the school, they are complicated for my Kindergarteners to log on to.
With the headphones, we are able to use our Ipad and with two clicks they are logged on and going and not wasting time that could be used other places. This allows for more availability of the technology and the ability to concentrate on their personal learning, which can be limited.
Again, thank you for your donation. Our children's faces light up when the headphones are pulled out. They love the fact that they can have access to fun learning, at the touch of a few buttons and not be ashamed of where their own learning currently stands. We thank you that our students have abundance in school, even though that may not be the case elsewhere.”
