Adding this mini-library of wordless picture books to our classroom will allow students an opportunity to improve Language Arts skills in a couple of ways. The first way we will use these books is to use the story's plot a framework for our narrative writing units. We'll use the books storyline to help us specifically write better transitions and develop our word choice. Students will use this collection to generate unique ideas and think creatively. It will certainly encourage the use of imagination! The books will also improving oral language fluency by requiring students to retell the story in their own words, resulting in a better vocabulary.
