Flexible seating options in classrooms have been proven to help students focus and help increase learning and engagement.
With these chairs they can wiggle, wobble, and move their bodies but their minds stay still and focused while learning.
They have bright and fast thinking minds, but struggle to focus enough to learn. Their learning becomes a struggle, they become frustrated, which often leads to behavior issues that disrupt the learning of all students.
Another struggle is keeping them engaged in their learning tasks enough for me to assess what they know. Worksheets are boring and just don't do the trick anymore! Whiteboards are better but these Digital Doodle Tablets just might be the BEST!
During small, individualized group instruction, students use these to show and practice their math skills. During Language Arts instruction they can write their spelling words, practice word analysis skills for vocabulary, as well as show me what they know. These kids were born with technology in their hands! Using technology to enhance and engage their learning is a must!
