Scholastic Super Science Magazine Subscription

I want to begin by thanking you so much for the generosity you have shown toward my fourth grade students. In having the Super Science Scholastic Readers available to each student, students are more engaged and excited to learn about the topics presented. They are able to read the text on their own before learning about the topics in class, they can take their magazine home to read to younger siblings, and they get so excited each month when we get a new magazine in the mail.

Reading is a very important part in our classroom. We read all day long in every subject. To have the Scholastic Super Science Readers available to each of my students, it has made science more interesting, engaging, and exciting for each of them. Along with the magazines comes a teacher's guide that includes videos and experiments. With these short videos and easy experiments, students have acquired a love for science that wasn't there before.

With our school being 99% poverty, these little extras open up a whole new world of thinking for each of them. The videos and experiments also help our English Language Learners understand the text a little more. We save Science for the the very end of the day because it has become a class favorite. We like to end our days on positive vibes and having the Super Science Readers be our last little bit of learning has really helped everyday end in such a positive way. I love when I say, "Okay we are going to get out our Super Science Readers and...." and in the background I hear whispers of "yes! I love these! I wonder if there is a video today! Ah! My favorite!". As a teacher, all I want for my students is to love learning and now they do! Without your incredibly generous hearts, this resource couldn't have been possible.
