My school is a brand new elementary building. My school district needed to add an additional building to accommodate the growing number of students in the area. The families of my students come from many diverse backgrounds, yet they are typical American families. They work hard and juggle their own jobs with their kids' school, sports, and other activities, and most still struggle to make ends meet. They like to be involved in their children's lives. My students love school! They love the independence they are acquiring in their first school year. They love riding the bus to school and having their own friends. They are proud and anxious to be helpers in the class. They are hungry to learn! They are special little people; each with their own unique qualities that make our class a fun place to be!
