• Comfortable and Cozy Reading Space!

  What an impact your generous donations have made in our classroom! ❤️ Students are utilizing the materials and furniture to get comfortable and cozy in our classroom library. They are also using the flex seating to take breaks as needed and help with emotion management, whether it helps them calm down or just finding a safe space to help them readjust back into the learning environment.

  It may seem strange that squishy seats, cushions on the floor, and chairs with backs could make sure a difference. But what a difference they make! My students can find comfort where they need with a variety of choices and textures. They can self advocate when they need breaks and manage their emotions through comfortable, safe choices.

  I thank you again and again for your generous donations and supporting our classroom this year. The number of students you have reached will go far beyond just this year.”

• Safe but Fun Movement through Flex Seating

  It is with my sincerest gratitude that I thank you for fulfilling my project with your generous donations. My students love the wiggle seats. They use them daily for reading and while at the carpet. It lets them wiggle while still staying safe. My students were so eager to use the stools and cushions when I brought them out. Their eyes glowed and they were so excited. For some, the wiggle seats are one of the highlights of their day. They are so responsible and respect that they were gifts donated to our classroom.

• Learning from a Distance

  It is with the grateful heart that I thank you for supporting my project. My students have been using the materials your generous donations have provided them with daily. They are overjoyed with being able to participate and engage in their learning. Just because we aren't physically, doesn't mean we can't do great things!

  We have indulged in the books. Read aloud, after read aloud, having discussions about our struggles at home and how we are overcoming those obstacles. Sharing our challenges of distractions and various feelings. We are working together to solve problems of work space and connecting with one another.

  These books have empowered my students to prove, we can learn virtually! We can continue to do hard things and overcome those obstacles put in front of us. We can succeed and learn because we have the mindset and skills to do it. The inability to physically be together has caused use to be creative in our relationship building. These books have been a connector, a gateway, a bridge, to help us understand that we can do this.. Together ❤️”

• Kiddos Need to Move! Wiggle and Woggle!

  These wiggle chairs have done wonders in my classroom! Students have the opportunity to sit comfortably in the classroom while also having some fun. With the 6 wiggle chairs, students are using them daily as chairs at their desks, stools at the carpet, and as a release of energy all throughout the day. I have seen students use them a variety of ways. Some in which I would not have even thought of which makes them that much cooler!

  When the wiggle chairs first arrived, my students were so excited! They had seen them in other classrooms and some had even experienced them. So to have them in our room now was thrilling. Students can't wait to use them each day and you can see the enjoyment they get out of them.

  The ability to move a little more in the classroom is huge. With high expectations and so much curriculum to get to, I'm grateful to be able to give back to my kids in this way, knowing full well kids just need to be kids. And these wiggle chairs let them do just that!!
