My students are sweet little first graders who attend a low socioeconomic school. Most of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. These students want to learn how to read; they try their best. They need additional academic support and access to books at their reading level. Most students do not have their own books to read at home. Many students come from homes where English is not spoken, therefore making reading even more challenging.
