  • We're WILD About Reading

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

I am so touched and full of gratitude that you chose to spend your hard-earned money to help my students . The books you helped me purchase will enable my students to each get their own book to read during our novel study and will allow them to become excited about reading.

All of my students were so excited to watch me open the packages and explore our new learning tools. The Wild Robot novels are the perfect book for our grade level. It covers many of the NGSS standards we learn about through the year .The novel is also entertaining and engaging.

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. Without your help, I would have never been able to afford to provide my students with this amazing learning tool. Thank you once again from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • D Is for Diversity

    Funded May 27, 2021

Your contribution to my project has made a wonderfully positive impact on my students. Since receiving the materials from my project "D is for Diversity" I have been able to expose my students to instruments, literature, art, and lessons from many cultures around the world.

I am well aware of how hard you all work and I am honored that you chose to spend your hard-earned money on purchasing resources for my students. Because of your donation, all of my students have access to culturally diverse units, materials, artifacts, and books. They are able to see themselves represented in their education and that is a powerful gift.

We all appreciate your generosity. I am grateful there are people out there that will support a diverse classroom. My students also are grateful. They can see there is a community supporting them and rooting for them to succeed. Thank you.”

  • Virtual Learning Take 2 and ACTION!

    Funded Jan 11, 2021

I am writing to thank you for your incredibly generous donation. Because of your generosity, I am able to record my lessons for my students and provide them with visuals that will make distance learning less confusing for them. When I told my students that another one of our projects was funded they were shocked! I love being able to show them that their education and success are important to the community around them.

Recently my school district decided to transition to a hybrid teaching model. This means I will spend half my day teaching in person and the other half teaching other students remotely. Because of your generous donation, I have the technology to be able to record my in-person lessons and provide the same lessons to my virtual students. This is a luxury many teachers do not have.

Thank you so much for helping me be a more effective teacher and in turn helping my students succeed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • Incentives and Inspiration

    Funded Sep 19, 2020

My students were "over the moon" excited when they found out our project was funded.I opened each package I received with them ( virtually) and the cheers, smiles, and thank yous they gave warmed my heart.

I was not prepared for the impact distance learning would have on my classroom behavior management. Prior to quarantine, I helped my students become motivated with a student store. Due to virtual learning, I had to get creative with my incentives and the items from this project have helped me with that immensely. These items will help me to incentivize my students, giving them something fun and tangible to work toward.

We were also gifted items that will allow me to put together special projects for the students to complete at home. This gives my students something positive and fun to look forward to. Each project is linked to standards-based concepts that will help my students learn in a fun hands-on way. The ability to make learning fun and exciting for my students is a gift that I am incredibly grateful for.

My class and I cannot thank you enough for choosing to spend your hard-earned money to invest in their education. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • The One Where They Learned From a Distance

    Funded Aug 6, 2020

The funding of this project has had such a positive impact on my teaching and students. My students were so excited when I told them our project was funded.

With distance learning, there have been many technological hurdles I have had to jump ( ex.my computer has shut down on me & would not reconnect, my microphone was glitching so badly that my students could not hear me & I've lost internet connection; which forced me to go elsewhere to teach). These issues would have normally caused me to cancel the class for the day, however because of this project I was able to hook up alternate microphones, webcams, & lighting & continue with my day.

I have also been able to deliver binders filled with interactive graphic organizers & resources to my students. They now have somewhere to store the tangible resources we create from a distance. This organizational skill is so important and I feel very lucky that I can still teach it even from a distance.

My class and I are so grateful that you chose to invest in their education. It is a gift that we will never forget.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • Help Our Education Pop!

    Funded Apr 1, 2019

For this project, I requested funding for a popcorn machine. My students were so excited to open the package when it arrived. I offered them freshly popped popcorn as a reward if they tried their best on state testing and attended school every day. The excitement gained from this incentive helped to keep them motivated during their first state testing experience. This is often a very stressful time for my 3rd graders and this popcorn machine helped to lighten the mood.

Most importantly, the donation you gave has provided our school with a tool that will help us to raise money in the future. We are a new school and as a result, we began this year with no money in donation accounts or PTA funds. I am now able to sell popcorn at school events for many years to come. This will help fund school functions, incentives and buy necessary educational tools for our students.

Thank you so much for using your hard earned money to invest in our students. I am forever grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • A Few of Our Favorite Things

    Funded Dec 11, 2018

I hope this letter can help to convey my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The items that you donated have helped my students develop a love for learning. The materials that were purchased with your donation, have helped my students develop language, math and critical thinking skills.

Because of your very generous donation, my students have been able to learn using a hands-on approach. All of my students were so incredibly excited to open the packages and explore our new learning tools. The Osmo Genius Kit has made reading a fun treat. I have seen my struggling readers go from reluctantly participating in Reading activities to becoming eager to read, spell, and analyze words. The Merge Cubes we received have put science, literally in the palm of my students' hands.

We have put all of the material from this project to good use and I intend to continue to do so in the future. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. Without your help, I would have had a very difficult time providing my students with these amazing learning tool. Thank you once again from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • We Pods-itively Love Learning!

    Funded Aug 24, 2018

These materials gained from your very generous donation have had an enormous impact on my students. We opened every package together and the look on their faces was priceless. Most recently we used the iPads to learn about coding and robotics. This is helping students develop skills that will positively impact their development and build a skill set that can be fostered into future careers in the ever-growing fields of coding, robotics, and engineering. We also have big plans for developing a classroom podcast and school-wide greenscreen videos that will help students with reading fluency, speaking skills, and writing. You have helped to inspire my third graders to love learning.Thank you for the bottom of my heart.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz

  • Give me a P!Give me a A !

    Funded Aug 26, 2018

The PA system gained from your very generous donation has had a positive impact on my students and the 900 other students/families at my school site. Most recently we used the PA system to help us run our school-wide 100-mile club event. We were able to play inspirational music for the runners that could be heard around the track as well as make important announcements. This PA system helps us positively encourage physical health and family involvement. We also have big plans for how we will use this PA system for future events. Thank you very much. We are all extremely grateful!”

  • Help Me Get My Teach On!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The knowledge that I gained from the Get Your Teach On conference in San Diego was unmeasurable. I learned so many teaching strategies that will enable me to engage my students and create a creative, energetic, and inspirational learning environment.

The highlight of the Get Your Teach On conference was being able to meet and speak with such a large amount of like-minded educators. The keynote speakers and presenters spread a message of embracing diversity, spreading inspiration, and changing the world for the better one student at a time. I was also able to collaborate with and learn from peers who had amazing ideas to share. I can not wait to take all of these ideas back to my classroom and share them with my students.

I know the benefits of this conference will last for years to come and positively affect hundreds of my students in the future. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Martinez-Lantz
