EXCITING NEWS! Thanks to you and your support of my efforts in creating a positive learning environment for my scholars, my “caught being kind” board can be a reality!! The project will give me an opportunity to immediately recognize those kiddos who are showing kindness to others and encourage that culture in my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nowak

  • My Own Things!

In the sincerest way, my students and I thank you for providing the work bins for their supplies!

During these unprecedented times, it is imperative that we provide the safest and securest learning environment possible. We have gone from "community supplies and bookshelves" to individualized materials and supplies that must be kept separate from one another, a challenge at best, especially with younger elementary students.

I found these work bins that have been a fantastic means to an end to keep the student's materials "covid safe". They were very excited to receive them and we had a "reorganization party" to switch from our smaller, lightweight bins. These new ones are clear allowing the student to see everything all the way to the bottom. Stray crayons and or pencils, can be easily seen. The bins are sturdy and do not knock over easily so they can keep their workbooks, pencil boxes and math boxes in them. These work bins fit PERFECTLY into the cubbies that are in our classroom and allow for me to create a system of organization to our day.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nowak

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and contribution to my classroom!! My kiddos are going to be so excited and this will definitely be an activity of choice! This will provide an outlet of pure creativity, design, construction planning and cooperation!! God Bless you all!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nowak

My classroom currently has a rug that is several years old and is deteriorating. They are sitting in carpet dust and dirt, which is not healthy, We need a new rug! Also, many of my students have high emotional needs as they reside in high stress environments and have difficulty sitting still and focusing while on the group meeting carpet as well as in their chairs. I have seen wiggle cushions make a world of difference in students' ability to focus. In addition, since I do not have an instructional aide, I am conducting small reading groups while center activities are going on, which can be quite loud at times, a whisper phone will help the students in my small groups focus on listening to me and to each other while reading. Lastly, we were able to purchase a listening center but the budget ran short of providing book sets, so I would like to start a listening library. What good is a listening center without books on CD to listen to? My students deserve all of this and so much more. Thank you for your consideration!
