I will use the MacBook Pro to video lessons for my students. This would benefit in class students, as well as my students that are quarantined or learning virtually. This device has a built-in iSight camera for videoing, which will give a clearer and sharper view.
When a student has so much anxiety that they are crying because they just don't get it, it's heart breaking. Although they joined the math lesson via Zoom every single day, they still failed the math test. During the Zoom, they say they can see the writing on the board, but its very blurry. These are the things that I am dealing with on a daily basis. I have tried different things to make it less stressful for my kiddos, but this is something that I haven't been able to fix. After researching and talking to other teachers, I continued to hear "If you had the MacBook Pro, a lot of your problems would be solved, and kids would have a better experience and be more successful." So, I made the choice to begin my Donors Choose Project.
The MacBook Pro also has a high performance Intel Core 2 Duo processor that will load the videos to share at great speeds.
I teach in a classroom of 22 students. 9 of my 22 do not have reliable internet at home, so I have to upload videos on a flash drive for them to access their lessons. The other 13 join me live for lessons. At the end of the day, I upload all lessons to Google Classroom for them to view again, if needed.
I want them to feel confident when my lesson ends. I don't want them to be stressed because they couldn't see the examples clearly.
