  • Building Compassion for Animals and Other Living Things

    Funded Sep 11, 2018

Thank you for helping us to take this wonderful trip! After a couple of times rescheduling dates for rainy days, we were finally able to visit the wonderful Moorpark College Teaching Zoo. The students enjoyed the trip and learned many new things about animals, their habitats, their needs, and how they came to be at the zoo. We saw lions, tigers, apes, and many birds, both native and exotic. We also listened to an informational talk in which many animals were brought out for the students to see.

Your donations helped to pay for admission to the zoo as well as for bus transportation.

Your support was vital to making this trip a reality. Thank you again for your support and for caring about providing class trips for students. You are the best!”

    With gratitude,

  • TK Technology 2

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

Thank you for your generous support! Your donations have provided a subscription to BrainPopJr. an online service that offers videos on a variety of science and social studies topics, geared to the age level of my students! My children enjoy these educational animations, and they learn so much from them. We have watched animations about seasons, weather, insects and their life cycles, the parts of plants, and many more. They are a wonderful way to deliver ideas and concepts in a format that is easy for the children to understand and remember.

Your donations have also provided some needed accessories for our class iPads. Items such as charger cables and protective cases were much needed, and are helping to keep the expensive iPads safe and usable.”

  • STEM for Today's Little Learners

    Funded Mar 18, 2019

I am writing to let you know how much we appreciate your support of our class STEM project! As you can see by the photos, my students are enjoying the new items that your donations helped to fund. These STEM materials are keeping them engaged for hours! They are problem-solving, making predictions, learning by trial and error, and learning many new things. The Let's Find Out magazines are well received and are also being sent home to provide for family engagement with what we are learning in class.

These new items will be used for many years to come. Thank you again for your contributions to our class!”

  • HP Toner Needed for Young Writers

    Funded Jan 20, 2019

Thank you so very much for helping to supply our classroom with some much-needed toner! Toner is an expensive item for school budgets to accommodate, and we often run out. With testing being done online these days, it is crucial that students know their way around a computer. We write stories that need to be printed out. We print out work sheets, stories, articles, photos, and lots of other items that are used in class. With this supply, we will be able to finish out the school year without the worry of running out of toner. Thank you again for your support!”

  • Replicate It! Part 2

    Funded Feb 12, 2019

Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom! With your help, we now have a supply of filament for our Makerbot 3D printer. With this filament, we are able to make any number of items using 3D technology. My students love to watch their creations come to life on the machine.

We use design templates already made and available on the Internet. The children can browse and choose between the available designs. They can explain in their own words, why a design wasn't successful and what it needs to be more successful. Thank you again for your generous support to our school. You are the best!”

  • A Variety of Items for TK

    Funded Apr 16, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! Your donations have provided a variety of items that we are using to make our classroom environment clean and healthy. We are using the tablecloths to have our breakfast and special event time outside in our yard. We are enjoying the beautiful California spring weather! The cube chair is providing some much-needed support to our students that have a difficult time focusing. The earphones contribute to a calm and quiet classroom environment by reducing noise from our iPads. This also helps the students not having a turn on the iPads to focus on their activities. Thank you again for your support of students, teachers, and schools through DonorsChoose.org. You are the best!”

  • We're Going to a Hukilau

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

Thank you for helping to bring Hawaiian dance costumes to my students! Your donations have provided hula skirts and leis for each of my students, and for our preschool and transitional kindergarten students to wear at our school's upcoming multicultural dance festival. The children are practicing their dances every day and are excited to perform them for their families, and for all the rest of the school.

These colorful hula skirts will brighten the performance and be a standout. The children will be adorable! Thank you again for your support in providing these costumes. Your help is greatly appreciated!”

  • Comfy and Clean Classroom Carpet

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

Thank you for your generous donations to my classroom! With your help, we will have a new, comfortable and clean classroom carpet. This carpet will be used for a variety of classroom activities. We will gather on the rug for whole group activities such as story time, math games, and morning meeting. We will use the carpet as a quiet place to build with blocks and other manipulative toys. This beautiful carpet has color-coded squares to help young children keep enough space between each other to avoid bumping and touching each other while still sitting close enough to hear and see the lesson.

Thank you again for your support in bringing this new carpet to our classroom. We could not have afforded this without your support. You are the best!”

  • Markers, Glue, and Wipes Needed, Please!

    Funded Dec 9, 2018

Thank you for your financial donations to my classroom! Your contributions have helped us to restock our classroom with dry-erase markers and baby wipes, which are used daily and need replenishing often. With cold and flu season upon us, cleaning products such as baby wipes and Clorox wipes help to keep germs down and to prevent illnesses from spreading from child to child.

The dry-erase markers are used at independent work time. The children can go to the independent table when not with the teacher. They love to get creative and draw pictures with colorful markers. They can also practice writing each other's names, and practice printing letters, numbers, and sight words. They love the markers and this activity!

Thank you again for your generous donations. You are the best!”

  • Quill to the Rescue Part 2

    Funded Jan 21, 2019

Thank you for your donation of a printer, toner, tissues, paper, baby wipes, and other items for our classroom. The printer and printer supplies will allow us to print out student work, homework assignments, parent communication, and other items necessary to a working early education classroom. Tissues and baby wipes will help us keep germs away during cold and flu season, which will keep us healthier and lead to improved attendance.

Most of these items are consumable and costly to replace as they are used. Because of your help, we now will have a supply to last us the rest of the school year!

Thank you again for helping my students! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!”
