My students are a diverse class of young, enthusiastic learners. Even though our school is located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood, I hope to engage my students in their learning by encouraging them to learn about the world around them. My third graders are just starting to learn more about the world and how they can make an impact in their own lives, and the lives of others. I hope they leave my class each year not only as better students, but better citizens.
