The library is the "hub" of the school. Teachers from all grade levels, organizations and members of the community come in every day looking for assistance in finding the right materials and supplies to help make learning for their children easier and more effective.
We do not get funds to purchase extra supplies off hand whenever and wherever we want. Living in a low-income community makes it hard for students to go home and have the ability to complete projects when they can't afford to buy the materials themselves either. We want to allow others to use the supplies we have on hand but it also limits the learning we are allowed to promote during library classes.
Being able to provide those students, groups, and organizations the supplies needed is what we are trying to accomplish here in the library.
