    Thank you so much for donating to our math department. We use graphing calculators daily and we need a few to fill in gaps so that every teacher has a classroom set. We are excited to support our students as they try and get ahead. Our teacher are also looking forward to checking out the books with lots of examples of math tasks.     Thank you so much for donating to our math department! We are excited to have the apple pencils to use with our ipads! This will ensure every math teacher can make the most out of the technology we already have! With the combination of apple pencils and ipads we can make help videos, present lessons in real time on our apple tv and annotate on the same papers our students have which makes note taking easier! We are then able to same all of this electronically to students to access!

  • Pi Day Buttons

    Thank you so much for supporting public education in Oklahoma. It really means a lot to our math department.

    Our school has a awesome tradition of celebrating pi day on March 14th since pi=3.14...

    We sell sliced or pie, have circle drawing contests, t-shirt contests and have traditionally had a button making machine. Kids would make buttons that said things like: pi-napple, apple-pi, pi-kes peek and chicken pot pi! Last year a button making machine stopped working and we are excited to have a new one to use!”

  • Index Cards

    Thank you so much for supporting public education in Oklahoma. It really means a lot to our math department.

    With this grant we were able to purchase index cards that teacher can use in their classrooms. I have had lots of teachers and students come by my room asking if I have any and I had to tell them I was all out. Students have used them to make flash cards so they can study for upcoming tests as well as Advanced Placement exams. I want to support students who are trying to study on their own and putting in the extra effort!”

Not all my students have the money to pay for their own calculators, ACT/SAT and study books. Over 60% of NHS students are on free and reduced lunches. Many apply for fee waivers to take the ACT/SAT and apply to college. They cannot all afford calculators. I know there are other students too embarrassed to say they also struggle financially. I feel like it is important that we give them the same advantages other students have.

About my class
