My second grade students attend a public school in an urban district. It is a Title I school with approximately 90% of the students qualifying for a free or reduced price lunch. My students truly appreciate everything they receive from, and have access to, in the classroom. Many of my students do not even come to school with their own pencils, let alone any other school supplies to help them succeed. They love being introduced to new concepts and new materials. Their excitement shows every day in all of the work that they do.
