My students have absolutely loved the flexible seating options and hands-on STEAM items that I have started to introduce. We had the opportunity to "try-out" chair balls and they become very popular at learning time. So I would love those as a seating option this year for my students. The other seating option is the Cando donut ball. They would both be a fun and perfect addition to our comfortable work areas. Both of these seating options have shown to help students who fidget and need to move around while working, provides better core posture and better for the tailbone when sitting for longer periods of time. When I first implemented flexible seating two years ago the excitement and learning growth the second half of the year was evident. My students were so proud of their classroom and couldn't wait to show their families. They were much happier during work time when they were able to find a comfy spot of their own. I am extremely passionate about providing a comfortable learning environment and having resources available to initiate creativity and ingenuity. Which is why I am requesting the other part to this project. The other main part of this project is to build up our classroom manipulatives for our STEAM time(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Five and six year olds have always loved learning through hands on experiences and I can not wait to provide more manipulative building supplies for them to imagine and create with. Any donations to this project will be such a blessing to my students and students in the coming years. I'm beyond excited and hopeful for a successful project to enhance the learning in my classroom. Thank you!
